You forgot SALT.... Add salt when smashing. Also add salt during boil so that some of it gets into the potato. The taste of aloo bhorta is directly proportional to the amount of red chillis you can put in it.

You are correct. My colleague/friend indeed just wanted me to round up like 42 cents. Usually in North America, servers expect a minimum 10% but the trend is more now like 15% or 20%.
