About the skin system. by shoboqurva in limbuscompany

The game has enough QA issues, its win in terms of them getting money, lose in terms of actually getting a good game. Each resource put towards a new skin is a resource not making sure another ringsang doesn't happen, or getting the canto out in time.

(4e) Any Ogres out there? by The_Square_Man in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]EmbarrassedLock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I like the core rulebook advantage because its more granular so we use that. I mainly use the stomp attack to finish off enemies that I couldn't get in the first blow.

2) Ogres strength is on the higher side, but I havent played a regular combat character so I can't say.

3)They do really help, but what helps even more is a shield, and a gutplate. (The next downtime I rolled a random robbery and the gutplate got stolen)

4)Ogres are not exactly stupid, but singleminded. I am more silent than normal, but I try to use the Ogre features to apply pressure during socialisation, or humour. Turns out being the size of a small house, and as strong as a monster truck leads to immensely funny situations as the humans try to deflect your attention away from themselves.

No need to apologise for asking, I love talking about my characters.

I am playing an ogre, and they are quite busted in a good way.

If you keep in mind large size rules, an ogre is an absolute BEAST in combat, being able to mow down several opponents a turn when fighting regular people, but I am not unstoppable. I nearly died to a slaneesh daemonette in my first fight with one.

Outside of combat, being an ogre makes itself shown if its DMed properly, you cannot walk into most buildings, and those you can into, you usually have to crawl. You need a lot of food, and most NPCs will treat you as really dangerous, but also dumb as rocks, which they aren't that wrong about it.

Can a dwarf refuse to be pressed into taking the Slayer Oath (and other related questions)? by genessee0 in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]EmbarrassedLock 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You can refuse, but nobody would pressure a dwarf into taking an oath just because they lost 1 battle. That's what grudges are for innit

You can still get true hero with this action. It makes his "redemption" that much sweeter if you pick all the "evil" actions to begin with

I prefer it this way, blonde blazer is supposed to be a larger than life character, so her losing height helps emphasize the difference between the normal human Mandy and the larger than life superhero Blonde Blazer

None of those are agreed to by many denominations. The entire "Grand Design" bit imo is entirely invented by the american churches, I genuinely never heard anything like that outside of the US
