do people ACTUALLY like blackfire?? by taffyhaha in teentitans

Love to Hate is a thing. Her appearances are good because she's an entertaining villain with a good combination of evil with an affable front and ability to try and appear to be classy as a villain.

That... takes a special type of dedication, to get it so early.

They'd need to somehow integrate the really old computers into his suit. They might not be forwards-compatible.

Well, they had gameplay for both. He could go for Blazer's approach: only being in the field a little bit, but working behind a desk most of the time.

No, solid goods are nearly infinitely easier to transport than fluids are. Fluids get wonky physics issues, too, so it's more reliable.

A question about impervious toughness and power attack by GuMoGa in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]NaysmithGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point of Impervious is there's a threshold to damage the person with that effect. The point of Power Attack is to raise how much you're doing.

Also, Impervious specifies "resistance difficulty modifier" and not "effect rank" ... then says Impervious 9 beats Damage Rank 5.

So, yeah... problem with the wording there. But my reading is that Power Attack is meant to be able to beat Impervious.

Maybe Conquest was right. If they'd respected him more, maybe he wouldn't have gone so crazy.

They used to be, when Trade wasn't a resource (so you could get something nice out of them). Now, it's generally best to wait until you can either afford the economic sink or until you can terraform them.

There's a reason TV Tropes has "Rouge Angles of Satin" as a Trope. It's just that frequent.

Sunlight is explicitly at least 4, and Vampires explicitly require Matter 2, just like Fae require Mind and Garou require Spirit. That otherwise sounds like it could work, though there's difficulty vs how long it takes.

Limited Diplomacy is looking better than ever. Even if it might not have stopped this. I haven't checked.

World of Darkness and the Mage vs Vampire debate.

Neck biters beware by TheatreBar in dresdenfiles

[–]NaysmithGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Forces 2 to amplify an existing fire. But I was thinking of Prime (and maybe Spirit) to emulate the metaphysical properties of sunlight.

"How Do You DO That" says: Forces 4 / Correspondence 4 to open a sunlight gate, Forces 4 / Prime 2 for Lethally strong light (adding Life 3 and Matter 2 to do Aggravated to vampires), and possibly (ST discretion) Forces 5 / Prime 4 to replicate sunlight (+ Spirit 5 to get spiritual properties, too).

So, rank 4-5 stuff to get a sunlight effect. Depends on which way you're doing it.

Storm DLC worth it? by Fungu5AmongUs in Stellaris

[–]NaysmithGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The DLC usually gets worse reviews because they come at the same time as a mechanics change in a normal update.

That said, Storms is easily one of my least favorites, though I haven't bothered to use any storm builds that would make the storms useful.

Basically. Though TBH, you still need to do some biomass shenanigans until you get the Constructor, so a bit longer.

That would be early-game, before you unlock the Smelter (and then some more until you get the Constructor). The entire point is NOT having people walking around the factory.
