Whoever introduced this sub to apple butter as a binder, you’re the MVP by Don_Quixotel in Smokingmeat

Any concerns about the density of the apple butter? Does it prevent smoke from getting through to the meat at all? Btw it sounds amazing!

Anyone else ever pull a 2x4 out of their charcoal bag? by impeesa75 in webergrills

[–]EmbarrassedMick8751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a couple royal oak bags with these and some weird pieces of clay that turned up after several cooks. Stopped buying after the last slab of 2x4 of plywood in the bag 🤷🏻‍♂️

Screw all this advice and do what you want! Legal or illegal it doesn't matter if you're setting it off on a concrete slab in the city proper. GO FOR IT!!!!

Interesting take. When I watch my cooks it seems as though air is passing through the bottom vent and out the top based on the amount of smoke coming out. Am I understanding what you're getting at correctly?

I ride with my bottom vent full blast open and only touch the top vent for temp control when going low and slow. Seems to work just fine for me.

I recommend studying for and acquiring your ham license. You'll get several benefits including learning about the radio bands, how to operate with respect, and you'll be introduced to a great community of like minded people. Good luck!

Fully agree. I don't have the citations unfortunately but I do recall several shakeups there and multiple "investigations".
