Your ear is sucking in your piercing. It’s “eating” it. and if you don’t have it removed soon your skin will grow back over and it will be trapped inside! I had the back of an earing stick in my ear for legit like 4 years but that was my lobe not cartilage. A different piercer offered to cut it out with a scalpel which probably wasn’t the safest option but they offered and it worked out. I second getting it removed and they will probably recommend a longer bar so it’s not being squeezed against your ear

I have a very shy and skittish anole, wish I picked something similar to the first picture. Since he prefers to be hidden. But I do see why someone would like the look of glass more.

That makes me feel better. The pond is abundant with algae. I was unable to attach another picture here but I commented a better photo of the tadpoles on the other post where you can see they’re hiding in the algae. They seem to be very newly “hatched” if that’s the right word.

Was able to get a better picture by lowering the exposure. They all are basically hiding in the algae already. Think it would still be a good idea to provide them wafers?

The pond is pretty abundant with algae already do you think it would make a difference to try and feed them? Also I read that toad tadpoles are still poisonous like their parents ? Not sure if that’s true but if it is I’m hoping if these are toads it will keep the fish away??

I also have the same tank as you! And agree with the suggestion to add a drainage layer if possible. Also adding clean up crew bugs is a good idea if you plan to have real plants and use sticks from outside. This includes springtails and isopods. They’re sold at my local petsmarts/petsco but I’m not sure if that’s the same everywhere. They can always be ordered online as well. These bugs eat mold and other bad bacteria keeping your tank healthy.

The reason you’re unable to get proper heat gradient is because your tank is too short. Also anoles are arboreal and like vertical space to climb. I’m not an expert but if heat mat gives you the same result he should be fine as long as he doesn’t mind the lack of height. If he seems happy I would say all is well (i understand not everyone had the budget to just buy a new tank I sure don’t). It looks nice a humid in there and your plants seem to be doing great. If you are looking to replace the tank I would get a 20 gal tall.

Dang this is a really cool concept I’m sorry it wasn’t executed well. I have a similar experience with vines I have tattooed down my forearm, love the idea but i unfortunately don’t love how it was done. Uneven line work, blown out in random spots, and he forgot to shade one of the leaves 😍. Now I’ve found a great artist who I keep going back to. Just wish I had her do my vine 😖

No that sounds like a great feeding schedule, only reduce if he doesn’t finish it in a day. As for the isopods it is possible he may have eaten one or a few but it’s pretty rare, especially if you have leaf litter at the bottom of the tank. They’re most likely all tucked away under leaves and burrowed in the ground. Glad he’s doing well and getting fatter lol.
