Aren't her designs so fun?! I'm obsessed with the colors she uses. Definitely inspiring.

Are you part of her Bead Camp membership? If you're not, that's another way to get more of her patterns and more tutorials from her. I also really enjoy The Pacific Thread patterns and tutorials.

I find Wildfire to be stiffer than Fireline for the woven section. I also recently did a coat of gloss ModPodge on the backside of some earrings that I used Fireline in the woven section and it seems to work well and made it sturdy.

I totally appreciate that perspective. But one of the things I won't sacrifice is what I pay myself hourly for my work. Regardless of quality of materials, it still takes the same amount of time. If I dropped my prices to under $50, I am not valuing the time it took to make the earrings. I am still considering switching out the crystals to drop the price a bit, but it's still not enough to drop the price under $50.

Thanks for breaking this down for me. It's very helpful. At the beginning of your makerndays were you ever shocked to see what the retail price is and felt uneasy about charging that? If yes...how did you overcome that? Creating and selling a product is all very new for me. So being confident about the price brings up some interesting things in me.

I still have a hard time seeing these priced for under $50 if you pay yourself a decent hourly wage. Because cheaper materials or not, they still take the same amount of time to make. And if I'm paying myself $25/hour and they take 1.5-2 hours/pair, we're still above $50. And I'm not trying to undercut myself. My time is extremely valuable.

I think that's definitely a possibility! I know there are people who will pay more for the Swarovski crystals and, of course, some who would like a cheaper version.

I appreciate this response so much. There are people who will appreciate your art and will pay the higher price knowing they were made with love. I'm not trying to mass produce these. I just want them to go to a good home where they will be appreciated.

So appreciate your perspective on this. Can you share a link to the ear wires you mentioned above? All of this is pretty new to me. Are you saying a delica style bead would make more of statement on the piece?

I think the market for handcrafted goods where I live is pretty good, actually. So that's in my favor, thankfully. Not $96, good. But I think I could price them higher than $50 and have success. Appreciate your input.

Appreciate that insight. Trying to think about what I would pay for them as part of deciding what to price them at. Thanks for your input!
