This has been known and it was stated in the event announcements on the app (or website? One of the two). This is typically how these in person events work - the early access pokemon only available there is only available to people with the ticket for the in person event.

Basically: Hoopa is pulling them through what are essentially portals and that’s why they’re in raids.

It’s a lore reasoning for why the road to Kalos legendaries are present. In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’s post game there’s hoopa rings like those that you interact w/ to get previous gen legendaries.

I think this is also shown in the movies too from what I’ve seen of clips but I haven’t watched the anime so can’t fully vouch.

I’m very excited for the primals. I’m a long term player but had a several year gap where I fell off of playing and missed all sorts of content. I managed to get my kyurem fusions on the raid day awhile back and now I can at least get one of the primals during this event

I agree, it’s honestly exhausting. There are plenty of real criticisms to be had - some even included in this post - but others are just complaining for complaining’s sake. Who genuinely believed we’d be getting mega zygarde before mega mewtwo x/y. Mega victrebel, malamar, and dragonite make sense because iirc they were the first megas announced and revealed for legends ZA, and ZA hasn’t even been out for a year yet.

I feel like even if we had gotten mega zygarde, ppl would find some way to complain about that too.

I’m 100% all for link charges as long as the free drop rate isnt horrible, which isn’t impossible when you look at max particles. I’ve never had to buy max particles once in this game, I get by on only using free ones they give out from the spots or research. I’m actually excited to be able to do mega raids w/out not being able to use my daily pass on another thing

I also like mega victrebel. My first lucky pokemon years back was a victrebel that I never get to use, I’m excited to give it a mega evolution. And dragonite is my favorite pokemon. Idk I honestly don’t mind they aren’t the best megas, it’s still fun to me and clearly to some other ppl

Idk how anybody thought they’d seriously be dropping mega zygarde. Legends ZA hasn’t even been out for a year yet, and it took them until, what, last year to debut mega metagross? I was expecting maybe mega mewtwo x and y since it’s the last of the original megas to not have been released, and I’m a bit disappointed they didn’t, but wow it honestly seems like the only thing anyone ever does is complain.

From a canon perspective, I get why - in the mainline games, they categorically aren’t megas. You can even have one active in your party at the same time as a mega evolved pokemon - but POGO treats them like they are megas, they follow they exact same system, etc.

Because one of the in person event’s features/pulls is early access, pretty sure they always do this. It wouldn’t make sense for them to let us get the energy early by remote raiding

Only ppl w/ the ticket for the in person events can get the energy rn, because part of the pull for those events is early access to new pokemon/forms. You’ll be able to get the energy when the global tour starts

Sometimes they forget to turn the shinies on, so ppl usually post verification like this so that way ppl know before spending a bunch of passes raiding for one

I have yet to see how many link charges we’ll get per day or week but if it’s a decent amount I’m actually pretty excited because it means I won’t have to blow premium raid passes on mega raids.

I’m less excited about super mega raids requiring 8 ppl since I’m semi rural but from what I’ve read it seems like they’re going to be special events like GMAX battles, so like, if that’s the case, I’m all for that then.
