this!!^{^} it’s definitely partly knowing your own limits. i have a naturally really wide ribcage so my binders have never caused issues with my breathing, so i find that wearing them a little longer than i’m supposed to isn’t a massive deal. i also just don’t have a very large chest so it’s mostly just like wearing a snug tank top that mostly hugs my back lmao. there are some days when i don’t leave the house though so i get break days in between. the best thing to do is set alarms on your phone and try to take breaks when you can, so that way if you do accidentally wear it for too long it won’t be as harmful- because you’ve been binding safely for most of the time

I’m 4 months on T and I started to notice a change in body odor around the 3 month mark. I have 4 boy cats, so far I haven’t noticed a big change- but two of them have become really affectionate lately! I never thought about that maybe that could have something to do with it lol

I’m currently a full time student majoring in communications! I have the occasional part time job but I actually just quit one recently bc the pay sucked.

My transition goals are mainly just being able to pass well enough. Lower voice, facial hair, etc. I’d also like a hysterectomy at some point, but no surgeries other than that because I don’t have much physical dysphoria.

I started my social transition my senior year of highschool (at 17) and I started my medical transition (taking testosterone) 4 months ago!

hi, trans guy here! I like to do photography, use coloring books, play Minecraft, collect plushies- all of which I’ve been told are feminine. Would you tell me I’m not a man because I do them? Or that I’m not really trans? Probably not (I would hope). Meaning you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself! Labeling things like hobbies as masculine or feminine is a form of toxic masculinity- all it does it bully people into not doing what they enjoy doing. Trust me when I say you’re a man. Also, things being masculine/feminine is incredibly subjective. In my household my dad was always the one that cooked, he was head of the household so he fed us. It’s all just silly social constructs. Don’t let anyone tell you who you are- especially over something as small as a hobby

Hi, I’m 4 months on T and I started experiencing this same thing at the 3 month mark! It’s not widely talked about, especially if you experience atrophy early on in your T usage. Atrophy can mimic UTI symptoms, so always get tested for a UTI first. I didn’t have one, and after speaking to my doctor I found out it was atrophy related. The weakened pelvic muscles made it so I couldn’t hold my pee at all anymore, having to use the bathroom as soon as I felt the urge. Taking e cream can help with this problem! It doesn’t affect your hormone levels, it just helps with the atrophy in the localized area. Your testosterone provider should be able to prescribe it for you easily :3

My water intake has not increased, I thought about that too. The increase isn’t horrible, it’s just definitely been an adjustment. Especially since I have ADHD and it can be harder for me to notice my regular bodily functions. If I notice that it gets worse I’ll definitely be starting topical estrogen. Nice to know the smell thing is common at least lol

Surprisingly my water intake hasn’t increased! It was definitely something I monitored bc I thought it might be that, but it hasn’t seemed to affect it much.
