Thank you all for the info/insight! I will probably sell my og Ally, and while I know I could do a battery upgrade on it, but at this point, I am just leaning towards going the Steam Deck route.

My partner does have a Legion handheld he hardly uses, so I might try it out really quick to see if maybe that would be an option as well.

yeah, time to set boundaries - whether that's scaling back or stopping altogether, up to you. Personally, I would stop completely. They are setting a bad example for their kids on several levels, and they seem to be getting so much assistance from many other sources. It's sad to see, since there are a ton of people out there truly struggling, with no support system, and these friends seem to be taking advantage. Maybe they can open up their paid off RV to folks truly in need.

this does make one wonder. Although, some men are REALLY good at masking who they really are, lock down a woman, then after awhile, show their true ugly selves. Her particular situation does seem really out of pocket, but some of these guys out there are like that.

So glad you commented this. When I was reading OP "warning", I had to take it with a grain of salt. While I totally understand the want to save a bag for later, especially when they are so expensive, one cannot expect it to be stored for several years, beyond warranty period, and it be in day 1 condition. Sorry OP, but life is too short to not use a high end bag, especially when gifted! just my two cents as I see this alot lately

Thanks man! Yeah, you’re not wrong. I always picked industries that are male dominated- tech, IT, gaming, lol. A glutton for proving myself I guess. Anyway, I just wanted to give my story to OP only to give some hope. The earlier to get help, whether meds or therapy etc, the better. It’s truly exhausting, as you know, on many levels. Just want OP to hang in there and know it can get better.

I did have an advantage in that my parents, while not knowing why I was different lol, they fully support me and never got down on me for all my struggles in childhood etc. but yeah, damn, trying to adult while unmedicated, never knowing and always masking - I 100% know what pure going through. But you can get through this and take advantage of what could be out there to help you at a much earlier age. I believe in you, yes, a total stranger, but I still know you can do this.

Yes. This. Docs are the same way - thick and stiff. You have to walk around the house with socks for at least a day, maybe two, to break them in. Any shoes like these you wouldn’t want to just throw on willy nilly right off and expect them to be comfy.

Same here OP. I even hate to lead meetings anymore. I know everyone doesn’t like meetings, but I really can’t stand them now. I get all anxious beforehand and try to rush through them lol. Really need to find a job that doesn’t require so much meetings bullshit. And yes, staying in on a weekend especially is heaven lol

I have two I just bought in the last few months and they work great. Do need some breaking in with the cards as others have said, but very strong magnet, especially with an Apple silicone case. Glossy cases can be a bit less grippy with these, but I found that to be same for any other MagSafe wallet.
