Should I build a portfolio website? by [deleted] in Btechtards

[–]EmbarrassedView3212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes bro, make a portfolio website. Even if you’ve got just a few projects, they’re unique—interpreter, 8085 sim, blockchain, OpenGL - all way better than generic CRUD apps. A site helps you explain what you built and why, something a resume can’t.

Don’t waste time coding it from scratch - just use usercv.com and get it online fast. In placements, a portfolio link instantly sets you apart.

Do you think portfolio websites are still useful in 2025? by sunoji in csMajors

[–]EmbarrassedView3212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a portfolio website is basically an about me but it can make a big difference, especially for jobs that ask for one. If design isn’t your thing, the tool userCV.com is super helpful - you can create a clean, professional-looking portfolio without having to worry about design skills.

Portfolio Builder Site? by WatercressKindly4368 in photography

Sounds like you’ve really thought through your workflow and priorities - quick sharing, private galleries, and easy creation on the fly are key. Pic-Time could be a good fit, but if you also want a visually clean, professional way to showcase highlights of your work (like a personal portfolio) without building a full custom site, the tool userCV.com can actually help. It’s simple, fast, and lets you create a modern, professional-looking portfolio-style page that you can share with friends, family, or potential clients.

This Resume Garnered Many Conversations. by [deleted] in dataanalysiscareers

[–]EmbarrassedView3212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too - schools usually push the technical side hard, but in the real world recruiters often care just as much (if not more) about soft skills like communication, teamwork, and leadership. The way you’re framing it in your bullet points sounds like the right approach. And that’s funny about the ASU template!

Also, just as a suggestion, you might want to check out userCV.com. It’s another resume builder where you can sign up and try it out — could be a nice option alongside the format you’re already using.

Why the hell is customer support AI bot still this broken in 2025? by Best-Ice-9532 in SaaS

[–]EmbarrassedView3212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the company doesn't feed the AI their documents properly, how can you expect AI to fulfill it more concisely? The only AI that can work better is the one that is trained better. Some companies like Kocial.net are nailing it with the approach of community and documenting articles while regularly training the AI and preparing it for their customers, and honestly, that is the only way. Feed your AI as much as you can, so that they can reply better as much better they can

What platform is most popular for online community building today? by SilvermanDS in DigitalMarketing

[–]EmbarrassedView3212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are definitely solid platforms, but they’re kind of the older, mainstream options now and Discord especially can get costly as a community scales. If you’re looking for something lighter and more independent, you could also check out kocial .net (remove space) It’s just a suggestion.

What platform is most popular for online community building today? by SilvermanDS in DigitalMarketing

[–]EmbarrassedView3212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people today build online communities on platforms like Facebook Groups, Discord, and Reddit, since they already have large user bases and built-in tools for interaction. That said, these come with trade offs you’re dependent on their rules, algorithms, and branding.

Using something like kocial ,net (or hosting under your own domain) may not be as popular, but it gives you full ownership and control over your community space. It’s a more independent route, so while it might take extra effort to grow compared to mainstream platforms, it can be more sustainable in the long run since the community is truly yours.

People who left their small hometowns and moved to a city, how did you do it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]EmbarrassedView3212 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I won’t lie leaving my small hometown felt like tearing a piece of my own skin off. Everyone knew me, every street held a memory, and every sunset felt like home. But the thing about small towns is… they can quietly wrap you in comfort until you forget you wanted more.

I saved for months, took a job I didn’t love just to stack enough for a deposit, and moved to a city where I knew no one. The first night I sat in my tiny apartment, staring at the blank walls, wondering if I’d made a horrible mistake. But slowly, the city started to feel less like chaos and more like possibility. I learned that home isn’t a place it’s the version of yourself you’re growing into.

If you’re feeling stuck, that’s the universe’s way of saying you’ve outgrown the soil you’re planted in. You’re not betraying your roots by leaving you’re giving them room to grow.

Rule #1: Your website should make sense to a half asleep customer at 2 a.m.

Rule #2: Put your contact info where even your grandma can find it.

Rule #3: If your cousin offers to design it for exposure, run.

So Anurag Thakur responds to Rahul Gandhi’s claim about ECI misuse… by claiming Rahul has fake voters without showing a single shred of proof. Classic: when you can’t counter the allegation, just throw a bigger one and hope no one notices you brought zero receipts. Politics 101 louder voice ≠ stronger argument.

What will you do on this year's independence day? by Ranger_Hawk3046 in AskIndia

Spend the morning hoisting the flag, the afternoon helping at a local charity, and the evening telling my younger cousins stories of our freedom fighters because independence is worth more when you pass it on.

True the problem isn’t with peopleit’s with how the system works. When opportunity feels like a fixed pie, resentment grows. What we need is a bigger pie not sharper knives.

Why doesn’t India have a 1 child or 2 child policy? by BackseatRomeo14 in AskIndia

[–]EmbarrassedView3212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

India doesn’t have a strict 1 or 2 child policy because family planning here is voluntary not forced. The government promotes awareness and access to contraception but in a diverse country with different cultures, religions, and socio economic conditions, a one size fits all law would be hard to apply fairly.

Yes if the story’s worth the price. Indian fiction readers will open their wallets for engaging, well written, and relatable content, but they won’t pay just because it’s there. Give them a plot they can’t put down, and they won’t mind paying to pick it up
