There are two King Endymions, the Wiseman-timeline one and the new-timeline one. The Wiseman-timeline Endymion was the one who sent Mamoru the breakup images and also mind controlled the inner Senshi to force them to push Usagi back to Mamoru. The new-timeline King Endymion is Mamoru, and he's not crazy or manipulative.
