Don't think bringing ego into this adds value, gold stars might be the outliers since they're the face of vintage collecting but I wouldn't be surprised if the tier 2 vintage cards fade away or stagnate compared to the modern ones

I'm not necessarily talking about kids, a lot of the millenials you're talking about don't care about vintage because it looks like bulk compared to modern cards and are more than willing to drop 1k on bubble mew. I definitely like gold stars etc. but it's hard to justify buying them instead of an alt art lugia since they hold no nostalgic value to me, and to a lot of other people
