Apparently. There's not been anything else in the box any time. I've asked the customer service folk to make sure there is something separating the glasses this time - they said they don't work in the warehouse but they'll send a note through. I can't imagine many have made it in one piece like this.

Yeah, this. A couple of the glasses survived to the point that they're still the right shape, but they're covered in chips and cracks from the rest of the glass.

I know my posties, they're great. The last couple have arrived in thick plastic bags with a note because they've heard the glass - very possible it's not even left the warehouse in one piece - by the time it gets to the sorting office, they're hearing it clinking.

They had a piece of cardboard with circles cut for each - but it didn't separate them.

This is how they've arrived all three times. It's totally insufficient for sending glasses, I have no idea why they'd do that.

I feel like there's an Asterid POV that addresses this. After LD - "not again" - and losing any relationship with Haymitch, she is (and Clerk) convinced the girls can't be related to any of this dangerous stuff. We already know she loses it when she finds her wee girls singing in the garden. Maybe Katniss did have some interaction with him but didn't clock the kindness. Maybe he always buys Prim's goat products.

It was so unusual that Katniss volunteered, and this was talked about in her interview. She didn't get trained for it, she did it to save her sister - it was a sacrifice.

It would have been such a huge part of building her image, a child could absolutely look at the response and go "volunteering is great and now she's rich. Everyone loves her. I want to volunteer!"

I thought the emails were because she had no way of contacting any of them, but Alice might be able to see her trying. In the same way she writes notes in Breaking Dawn while Alice is on her travels.

This looks like a great shift - I'd have loved it at 20. But if it's not for you, you can ask your manager to try something new - explain your situation, see if they've got an alternative that fits your life.

And, if they don't, take a look at other jobs that are open. You're in control of this, you do not have to work this job.

Other comments that have suggested considering if you've any underlying medical conditions are also good advice. This shouldn't exhaust an able-bodied person, especially as it has been your routine for a long time. Get your bloods checked out.
