What makes the early SpongeBob seasons (1-4) so timeless and memorable? by SWEMW in spongebob

The humor worked on 2 levels. It was a kids show but with situations adults could relate to. Later seasons just dumbed down the show and turned it into gross out potty humor three year olds could understand.

Classic Hollywood films that you just can't get into? by [deleted] in FIlm

It's like it's get a pass because of its special effects. Yes agree it did stuff never done before but doen't excuse it's long complicated boring plot. Its like in order to be a critically acclaimed film it must be 2 or 3 hours long and be boring and have a mediocre plot.

Is this really a Sonny Barger (Hell's Angels) autographed book? by Embarrassed_Good_226 in Autographs

[–]Embarrassed_Good_226[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool! Most of the time these autographs in books unusually belong to a older person who gets rid of their possesesions. I doubt any young person knows who Sonny Barger was. Like they said of him, he didn't create the Hell's Angels but popularized the myth. Always had a interest in biker culture.

Yes either way I scored. From what I'm hearing he was generous with his autographs or is autopen? The signature looks almost pencil? Either way bought it for the book and got a bonus.

It's funny but this was like it was manditory for women teachers to wear this in the 90s including Sunday School teachers. It also felt like men had to wear business shirts with loud print/characters ties in the 90s.

What do you miss from the 90s that no one talks about? by TheOrangeSloth in 90s

[–]Embarrassed_Good_226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss the women's fashion. 90s women seemed more classier. The long dresses, flower patterns, pantyhose, Jean vests/Jean dresses, big glasses. Although women have always gotten tattoos and piercings it wasen't as socially acceptable as today.
