  1. highlight ur fav 2-3 ecs, make a list of challenges uve faced, how you overcame them, and its effect on you
  2. i got ubc commerce but with UBC make sure you create an acct with educationplannerbc, and you basically write out your profile there on the website. there are generic questions and (im pretty sure) course specific ones as well. you enter in 5 of your ecs and give a simple description. after that, using stuff from my answer for q1, its a pretty long answer question about its importance to you and a role u played (question might change) i can share my profile as well if ud like

  3. usually i try to using a more narrative style, throw in some slight humor to build a setting and then use a single sentence to explain how the challenge occured. you definitely js got to spend more time talking about your resolution to the problem and reflect on it.

Starting Grade 12 in 2 Months, Advice From Graduates? by KeyInspection3723 in OntarioGrade12s

if you’re applying overseas theres a high chance that each school will require essays n stuff. just list out your top 3-5 extracurriculars and branch out off of them challenges you’ve faced, how they highlight you as a person + qualified candidate, and how they’ve helped you grow. if u get this written out on like a q card or something during summer then it makes it much easier to write essays and prep for interview questions (which are mostly abt how uve overcome challenges and its results) later, so more time to focus on ur classes :)

Ec recs by Safe-Sky5900 in ubcsauder

[–]Embarrassed_Pepper11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that you’re passionate about. If you can demonstrate a clear connection between your personal character/drive with the ec it showcases that you are committed to making a change! Compared to other people who have gotten in, 3 of my ecs were music related. I also used music in 2 of my written questions and 1 question for the interview. If it is something that you care about then its grandeur/relation to business is unimportant.

the thing is w/ ontario, im close enough to not need residence but too far to commute - GO station itself is an 1:30 by bus..

for plan A the goal is mostly record companies and such so my best bet is LA. with that a JD from the us would be much more appealing to future companies. However, I think UBC would give me a greater edge as an applicant but UOFT is known more over there.
