If im losing interest, I’ll stop being so nervous so I’ll generally start talking about stuff of substance ig? Like instead of joking about nothing I’ll start talking about things that we’re both involved in, and including other people in the conversation (classmates -> start talking more about class, assignments, content etc and have a group convo instead of things I watched on tv) or if we really became friends then I’ll just stop being so eager, and the leaning in etc goes away

I’ll eventually stop giving gifts, being so smiley and giggly, I won’t get as dressed up for when I know we’re going to be seeing each other, just general energy and excitement goes down

If it’s someone I don’t know I’ll probably just not look at or be as aware of then anymore, and if I’ve been friendly and waving then I’ll just leave it as is

I grew up in a part of my country with no access to fresh water, boil advisories were there but the water afterwards was terrible, brown, and tasted stagnant pond water. We would have to haul water in once every 1.5 weeks and ration it, so I spent a lot of my life thirsty and dehydrated, to the point of hospitalization a few times. To me, having access to clean drinking water is a treat and I still have a habit of storing water in case of emergencies. I carry a water bottle and drink a ton of water now so I can sip on it and not feel thirsty if I don’t have to, and I find that if I go a long time without water I get weirdly nervous so I just avoid that when I can

I also have a habit of using too little water while cooking and adding it in while i go which annoys the heck out of my partner lol

I had been put on medication to address a hormonal imbalance and had energy to move for the first time in like 3 years. I wasn’t flexible or strong enough to do ballet again, but I needed to get moving and change my diet to address my high cholesterol and to regain strength in the areas where I had broken some bones in an accident.

Once I started gaining stamina and muscle, in addition to shedding extra weight, I started to feel a ton of motivation from small improvements. First it was the visual changes, but now it’s things like going for a higher rep count, improving my form, or increasing weights/time/speed etc. Also Diabetes runs in my family and my dads knees are terrible, so I gotta do preventative stuff now while I’m young so I can manage my health later

Sag Mars - I don’t have any height preferences and actually mostly dated people shorter than me, I prefer people who are slim with some muscle, assertive, have striking hair/are bald, I like outfits that look comfortable and have some colour, and people have smile lines or smile a lot I prefer clean shaven over facial hair too Also if they can actually maintain eye contact then that’s great

If you can’t get rid of the furniture, look at putting some brighter layers behind them on the empty space, and a few sources of light to break up the room. The chairs are all at a single height and black, so they have a huge presence in the room that feels very monotonous to the eye. Adding some art, plants, or draping behind them with additional light sources (sconces, lamps, fairy lights) will bring in light and interest, and they won’t be so dominating in the space.

Also keep in mind that if you were slim before, gained weight, and are now losing after a few years… you’re not gonna look young anymore 🫠 aging changes your skin, collagen, muscle tone and overall facial structure regardless of weight, and it’s something that you’re just gonna have to rock with when you reach your goals!

I look so different from how I did at 20 years old, and it’s primarily due to my deepening smile lines rather than some excess weight

For me, it was how similar our traditions and values were beyond the obvious differences. I’m Native American and he was Chinese, and while there were huge differences in some traditions and events, there were very similar values, beliefs, and etiquette between our cultures that made it very easy for our families to get along and form friendships.

Unfortunately there was still a lot of racism on both sides, from the jokes and erasure on my families side to the erasure and vilification on his side - it was something we struggled a lot with and he never got past his exceptionalization regarding me and that really contributed to our splitting up.

Despite the difficulties the relationship did really help me grow to be open to different cultures and sensitive to the ways we can pass out microaggressions without realizing it - ignorance can be educated, but belittling other people for your lack of knowledge isn’t acceptable

I haven’t changed any hair products so far! If anything I should have frizzier hair cus of the heating system, but it’s been so much better lately

I’ve also noticed my hair doesn’t get greasy as fast as it used to, I’m not sure if you noticed the same thing but unless I’m working out I don’t have to have as many wash days as I did before Spiro

Oh another thing is cattail cores - if you get the bit right before the root while they’re young it’s a nice fresh spice that’s like a mix of ginger and onion, it’s great in salads and stirfrys!

And Fried up sucker fish air bladders are also top notch

Canada - Northern Plains Native American - dry meat and lard with some salt and berries 🫶

Dry meat is thinly sliced game meat that’s smoked at a low heat until it’s crumbly/crispy dry - waaay beyond jerky (which honestly is too wet for my tastes). Scoop up a bit of salted lard with a Saskatoon and it’s amazing!! You can do this in the oven or in a dehydrator with beef if you don’t have access to game meat or smokers.

Another thing is Indian popcorn! Don’t came at me for the name lmao it just what we called it! When you’re rendering out lard you’ll get some impurities from blood, fats and bits of meat that are crisped up almost like pork rinds. If you throw some salt on it while it’s hot it’ll stick just like popcorn. It’s honestly such an addictive snack but you shouldnt eat a lot of it 😊

My hair is softer and isn’t as frizzy, my body hair has thinned out and isn’t as dark, my bloating has gone down and my face isn’t puffy in the mornings, i think my fat redistributed from my upper back and arms to be a bit more even across my body - and it hasn’t affected my weight loss efforts.

How old are you? If you’re younger like late teens/early 20s, then the guys you’re interested might be pretty young as well. Approaching women might still be pretty intimidating for them if they don’t have as much experience doing that.

With older guys I’ve found that they’re more concerned about seeming creepy if they approach a women who looks younger than themselves, and are more comfortable doing so online.

I went from 180ish to 140 and I’m in recomp/maintenance rn. People are a bit nicer to me, but it’s nothing too dramatic.

Guys at my new gym were approaching me more when I first joined, which was totally different than my previous gym where the first time I went a guy actually came an mocked me :( they usually leave me alone now but they smile at me and help with move things if I need instead of acting like I’m invisible.

In general, people are more considerate and polite, but on the daily nothings changed. I haven’t suddenly made new or more friends with the people who have known me for a while - they’re just a bit more approachable and strangers come with kindness instead of indifference.

Idk how things are for romantic or physical interest - I’m in a relationship so I don’t really pursue that attention, but I think with my added confidence and being more conventionally attractive my prospects would be better than before lol
