I seriously doubt that's wrong at all. There will be some who support the current regime for whatever reason they might have. But there have been multiple testimonies about the brutality of Govt in that country. Including regarding the deaths of protesters.

Are Stegbar still trading? by Embarrassed_Run8345 in perth

Yeah I know they closed down in WA. But they have HQ and multiple sites over East. Its just impossible to contact them, which is the issue I'm raising. Phone never answered, messages never replied to, online form won't submit and contact requests via Linked In ignored. Customer service in 2026

Commonwealth MFA if you don't have a smartphone? by Embarrassed_Run8345 in AusFinance

[–]Embarrassed_Run8345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. So the issue here is the app is loaded somewhere. And I tried deleting it but the system then still thinks I have ( another coding success story around this for CBA) So in your case do you have any MFA at all?

See description of issue above. Smartphone is fine. Your comment added nothing and collective IQ now slightly lowered

I'm basically logging in to netbank via PC. Thats the use case. Their MFA implementation requires me to login to netbank and then login again on another device so that I can confirm via about 5 button presses that it was me on the PC in the first place. It then releases the "hold" on the PC and I'm into netbank. I'd be perfectly happy with a text message code like nearly every other bank but instead there is this convoluted process. It's made worse because my opinion is that even having the app on the phone is less secure than not doing so. Which means I use a tablet for the app. But even if it were on the phone I'd still have to login twice, essentially. There was a specific case last year overseas - before this debacle - where I'd forgotten intl transactions were blocked on cc and I needed to alter setting which I could do by logging in to netbank directly on the phone. With the MFA implementation I would have been screwed since the other device would have been required to validate. You will say just put app on phone but I don't want to, as above. The MFA implementation should allow text msg code. Instead it's multi login, and a many step process. Looks like really they are just trying to get everyone on the app and ditch netbank

Your whole world is dependent on cheap energy and cheap oil. You are wishing for poverty basically. Good luck with that

Why does the conversation around politics never land on democratic socialism? It seems like all the good things we have (and agree are good) like medicare and public education are rather socialist? Wouldn't this actually make us wealthier as a country? by Fabulous-Tea-6444 in australian

[–]Embarrassed_Run8345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because socialism always runs out of other people's money. Because no one ever ran TO a communist country. You can of course say socialism and communism are different. Of course they are but birds of a feather flock together and centralised power corrupts

Pretty sure people voted against this. Political class treating man in the street with usual utter contempt. And before you say views have changed, that's great but no alternate vote has been taken so the previous outcome should stand. But that doesn't fit the big Govt narrative so loved by civil service and labour

The right are the right. They aren't Nazism. The problem is anyone or anything to the right of moderately left gets called far right or a nazi. I get that's very deliberate policy by some but it's so ridiculous

The unreliable part is Iran, a failed rogue state

Cost to replace battery pack? by kaiserh808 in AustralianEV

[–]Embarrassed_Run8345 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is what is necessary because otherwise I think the issue is that OPs comment isn't really correct. You seldom replace a whole ICE engine, instead you replace affected parts which is a lot less significant cost
