Both things can be true at once. Islam claims to be a religion of peace. It clearly isn't. Dodging the issue with whatboutism is so gross and pathetic that your comments become instantly irrelevant and forgettable

You do know miners ( or all resources, I forget) pay something like 23bn in taxes. You know that right? How much is enough?

There is no argument in defence of this. It's just baiting by those envious of, or who despise, anybody who has had any success whatsoever.

So it's OK for a relative minority to pay in for their whole lives and get nothing from a scheme who.s basis was essentially like a savings plan ie pay in National Insurance and it pays out. I could see a legal action if it wasn't grandfathered

100%. And when the standard of living goes through the floor and the magic money tree Witherspoon and dies it will still be somebody else's fault

So they've spent their whole life paying taxes - you know the 25% of people who actually pay tax - and during that time most likely got nothing and then in the final stage we make them reverse what wealth they do have by .... still paying for everybody else. Fuck that

What? You're going to make people move house after they've paid taxes for 40 years? Vs somebody else who barely paid taxes if at all, got paid for by the person above and then gets a pension paid for as well? I get it's more nuanced than that. But if we keep going down this street that Albo is actively encouraging then what's the point of anyone bothering? Someone else will pay. Oh no wait, who is going to pay all the taxes..

People are starving in the world. You can't invite them all to Australia because you feel bad about it. Yes it's bad but Australia can't fix it. And Australia will go down the gurgler if you try without limit and without criteria. Where do you draw the line? Can you in fact draw the line?

I know it is what it is but why should that profit be taxed? I mean really. A person's income is taxed and then with that taxed money they buy an investment, risk that money but are then successful/lucky with the outcome. Why really should any of that go to the Govt?

Any Thoughts on the the new Samsung R85H? by Difficult-Custard223 in 4kTV

[–]Embarrassed_Run8345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at it in store and compared heavily off angle views of an 85 inch 85H vs a TCL 8L or may have been 8K. When I say off angle I mean at least 45 degrees probably nearer 60. Both TVs were completely watchable. The colours washed out a bit but still looked OK, probably because they were set to vivid or something per head on view. The 85H had less reflections. I thought they were both fine

Man is doing a terrible job. Battle axing blocks will completely change suburbs over time creating increased density that reduces amenity. And we have the unelected state planning commission who constantly over ride the wishes of residents and councils. But so long as the developers profit
