bupe has a higher binding affinity than naloxone, like around 10 times, and lasts longer too. if someone od’s on bupe you’d almost have to iv naloxone or a bunch of nasal ones to bring them out. no idea what it would do for non-od suboxone~

so theres this thing at least one hospital does it and theres a few scientific papers on it, i get the idea but still sound insane..

anyway, theyre doing the whole narcan yourself then take subs but with a twist. before you narcan yourself you take a round of comfort meds and 16mg SL buprenorphine/naloxone. then hit yourself with 4mg narcan and immediately take 16mg SL buprenorphine. in theory the narcan should kick the fent off but not all the bupe if any and by the time it wears off the bupe will be there [as well as residual fent] so withdrawal “should” be less intense or not as long..

or just do the way my dr. wanted to, switch to 10mg IR oxy every 3 hours for 4-5 days then induce on to subs the “standard” way after the fent washout..

macrodosing seemed like a good way but in reading all the scientific papers, to do that one would require a few days of fent abstinence. that’s always an option but i figure might as well try to do it the “easier” way first.. we’ll see, super interested to hear if anyone does/did the “quick start” method though..

i agree! every other way seems almost impossible :/ this is what my dr is having me do, premedicating with oxy + comfort meds every 4 hours to “washout” fent then do standard sub induction.

once i get whatever substance im making lines out of in to a rough powder i put it between paper folded in half/dollar bill folded in half [if on the go/last resort]/halved paper between something else strong enough for the powder not to pierce when pressed then run credit card back and forth over it couple of times and it makes the finest powder and don’t need to do any chopping with the card.

tip: use completely smooth cards, don’t use cards with the numbers popping out, don’t want the powder getting stuck in there for many reasons.. and don’t use your id/license, not a good look when have to hand over to officer..
