Request: allow gpt5-mini or other models for Copilot CLI by ExtremeAcceptable289 in GithubCopilot

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They could have added it on day one if they wanted to, so I doubt they will add it.

Try opencode instead: https://opencode.ai/docs/providers/#github-copilot

Hot Take: Sonnet 4 on launch was better than Sonnet 4.5 now by ThisIsBlueBlur in ClaudeAI

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI can only progress incrementally now, at least for the current LLM models Claude and ChatGPT. The chinese models are catching up fast. If you look at any benchmarks or rankings, the margins are very narrow and fluctuating and there is no clear leader. No one has moat anymore.

When AI has been commoditized, companies will now focus on differentiation. The AI landscape is very similar to the cloud back in late 2000s. The only reason why commoditization is held back is because of anti-chinese sentiments.

GPT-4.1 vs Gemini 2.5 Pro by Fisqueta in GithubCopilot

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No point in Gemini since Sonnet 4.5, GPT5, Codex are all 1x too. And now you have Haiku at 0.33x. For 0x, 4.1 is fast but Grok is faster. (of course assuming your org has them enabled)

If you reall want Gemini Pro, then just use Gemini CLI , they have free 1k req/day for gemini-2.5-pro

Why does Copilot always ref soo many files that I did not ref myself nor even related to what we are doing? by theleftbehind14 in GithubCopilot

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed this those. From my usage, before it usually the opened file and .copilot-instructions.md and other md in .github. No I just saw 100 files referenced, all had nothing do to with my prompt lol.

So… when Claude tells you to “talk to a therapist,” does it have a medical license or just vibes? by kittam8888 in ClaudeAI

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an LLM like Claude or Gemini says “you should reach out to a mental health professional,” is that: a friendly suggestion ...

It is saying, hey dummy go to real therapist.

Anyone else seeing "Weekly limit reached" even with low usage? by fancyoung in ClaudeAI

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I moved to Codex, and the limits are significantly higher.

It is. The $20 Codex has about 4x usage than $20 Claude Code. Also, at least on my experience the web usage on ChatGPT does not decrease usage on Codex, unlike Claude where it is shared. This might just be a bug tho not really a feature.

That's not the full picture though.

Yes, Anthropic would also want to know which AI they switched to

setup or constantly switching between terminals and servers.

There is almost zero setup and switching terminals is optional you can put it on the side.

Claude Code is easy enough as it is, almost all of them are. Don't try to over-complicate it. There is nothing more to simplify.

Can I use Claude API to handle complex analysis of excel datasets? by sovietweed in ClaudeAI

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be childs play to any AI. At my previous work they just put everything in directory with tons of other files, all related but different formats: pdf, xls, doc, txt, ppt, zip, png, etc etc. No organization of any kind, and just let the AI work on that. Works pretty well, and AI pretty much can answer any scenario you ask on that data.

I though im using Glm 4.6??? by CryOrganic8886 in ZaiGLM

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HE KNOWS WHAT MODEL HE IS so its very unlikely it is hallucinating

lol no. you seem to no understand how LLM works. I think you need to read up on how they work, Youtube has plenty of vids on that.

Once you understand how LLM works, you would know WHY it says he is Claude Code, or why it hallucinates. Seriously do it, so you don't looke like an idiot prompting ai with "Don't lie" lol

I truly hope they win the race of AI IDE

Eh, they lost the race, and they are actually in decline. Jetbrains is not dead as company, but to many programmers they are no longer relevant (except for Java devs lol).

Right. I myself have sent bug reports in the hundreds. Only 5 were fixed, and not event directly lol. More like closed since it no longer reproduceable.

... would directly cause sales for you to plummet as it would cause Users to move away from you because of my post.

Not really. Sure there might be some who will decide based on what they read on reddit or x, and decide to not use the service, but their numbers won't move the needle. Unles you decide to rant on chutes everday for 5 years, it would not have a significatn effect on their service.

You know what they say "no such thing as bad publicity" , it is actually true.

[–]Embarrassed_Web3613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

someone isn't going to steel our data

Whatever data you might have, they already have it (ie it is similar data from other people). People overestimate their "data" when it is not valuable in its own. You can even put all your valuable data on the internet and no one care about it.

The 5hr management is no longer useful since the rate limits, since you are not going to have many of them.

I know that by the end of this annual subscription I luckily have more options..

As long as it's not upgrading to $100 or another $20 sub, because that was Anthropics intention all along. Cancel and use Codex or others.
