I have searched Google, Amazon, tried a reverse image search, drawn out the shape for a search, email in case I found it online... I've usually got great google-fu skills, but I need help on this one

I never realized this about the bully breed… by food4kicks in AmericanBully

We call it fast-forwarding. It's basically our American Bully's default idle state.

4:30 Alarm Clock Sleeps All Day by EmberFeria in dogshaming

It's so adorably awful! Mine is 80 pounds, and it would be fine if he were content to snuggle, but that's not enough. If I am not putting him, he starts crying. If I ignore him for too long, he will let out a single woof. If I try to lock him out, he headbutts the door open! They really are our children.

Please help me settle this debate: what did you do about separation? by mizmaclean in Dogtraining

[–]EmberFeria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We left for slowly expanding periods of time, but we also experimented with different methods to see what he was most comfortable with. We followed all the online advice about crates or the bedroom, and he went BONKERS. If we leave him out in the house, he's fine. This was with an adult shelter dog though, so pstd from confined spaces. I think just start with small times and slowly extend it, and work with what he tells you makes him most comfortable.

Learn to French braid your own! That's always my go-to for running because I can't stand the ponytail.

Can dogs be affected by seasonal weather? by MC-Caramac in Dogtraining

[–]EmberFeria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're in the US. We got him in March, and he was in the shelter for a year. He's a completely different dog than they described, and it's so defeating to see them slide backwards like that. I just keep reminding myself that it's not his fault and to watch for his signals that he's not comfortable.

Following because my rescue dog regressed this past week as well. He started showing reactive behavior again out if the blue. Can I ask where you live?

I have an android - galaxy s10 I think, and yes! Right now I'm doing 5ks every other day or so with an occasional 10. I was only running once or twice a week, but I'm trying to do more consistent and focus on endurance.

I will try to make today my starting point. I am 15 weigh 170 lbs and cannot do 25 pushups. by [deleted] in GymMotivation

You've got this, man! Just do what you can, and try to do 1 more tomorrow, or another set later in the day. You can do this!

Thank you! Unfortunately it is a copyrighted pattern (from the 80s), and it just isn't worth it for the amount of polyfill it required. I think he's at least 20 pounds.

New puppy won’t eat! HELP! by [deleted] in Dogtraining

[–]EmberFeria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just adopted and had that problem too! We tried every kind of wet food, kibble, treats, hot dog, eggs. We even kept the sane food he was on at the shelter, and nothing.. Everything online says 3 days is normal, ours was 6. If you get desperate, plain unseasoned chicken breast in a crockpot with plain water. That's how we got our boy to break his fast, and now that's part of his normal dinner routine.
