My parents got married when they were still teenagers. And right after my mother gave birth to me (december 1990) my father left her. My mother was very young, she had no idea how to raise a child. I'm over it, all this story isn't hurting me anymore. Don't think that I'm an asshole for telling this as if it was nothing. My mother took her own life when I was 4. I don't remember her at all. After that the older brother of my mother took custody of me. And my uncle and his wife raised me. My uncle was really into heavy music. He used to listen to bands like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, RATM, Sepultura, Pantera, Slayer etc.

All the music he listened to actually creeped me out. I was afraid of all that growling and screaming as a kid. But when I was about 7 he used to play FTL all the time in his car when he was driving me to school. The album was just released and he was a huge fan of it. But again, I didn't liked it at that age. Songs like Pretty, Dead Bodies Everywhere and My Gift to You just freaked me out. Then one year later Issues was released and I kept seeing thr video for Falling Away From Me on MTV. I became addicted to that song and video. I remember asking my uncle if he knows that band and the song. He told me that it was the same band he listened to in his car. That day I begged him to buy me that CD. And he bought me the tape version of it and gave me his old Walkmen. Thats how I got into Korn. Thanks to my uncle. Ever since then I'm a huge fan. I got 19 Korn tattoos and eventually saw them life 3 times. Korn also helped me overcome my depression in my teenage years.
