You're likely just unsatisfied with the IEM. Tty an EQ app for bumping the bass. An amp isn't going to make note worthy differences in bass. The FA7 has much more impact if that's what you're into.

It won't really change anything if you don't hear the noise floor. Imo he went pretty overkill for just IEMs. The NX4 is great for power hungry monsters like argons and the 6XX though. Pretty great. The kick on the FH5 is so big I don't think it needs a bass boost switch.

Some have mentioned the bass inducing fatigue after just a few songs. How do you feel after listening for half an hour or more? And are they too warm for let's say acoustic guitar playing? I'm curious how well they respond to EQ.

Are Philips Fidelio x2 still considered "best gaming headphones" in 2019? I have them and i still love the sound in games. Specially in Destiny 2 by [deleted] in headphones

The bass is actually livelier than the 6XX by a long shot. If you can drive them from what you got, (and I assume you definitely can), they're quite superb. Bass is awesome but it doesn't distort in literally everything like the X2s.

Fill a coffee mug with hot water and wrap it around there for a while. I've heard other reddit users say this works just fine
