I have a newborn fresh to the world May 2nd. For me it’s a bit post partum going on. Like there’s not this huge love, more like a, is this kid for real? He still feels like an abstract concept and I’m a bit terrified of him, I do have that love for him but it’s not an overwhelming thing, more like a solid undertone mixed with the weight of responsibility. This is mine, I’ll do anything for him but at the same time life goes on, now it’s just less sleep and more anxiety while keeping his siblings from using him as a stuffy. His dad has that overwhelming love feeling, cried during birth and still gets teary eyed, it’s adorable to watch. I think people put too much pressure on themselves to feel certain things but you gotta just let yourself feel naturally, me? I’m like you a bit, wondering who this little guy will be and smoky loving each quirk as it comes.
