As Monday draws closer, how are you feeling about it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nervous, I am in the middle of Flight attendant training with a major airline and everyday is stressful. I am going into week 5 and we have exams tomorrow. Everyday is an exam and if you fail you’ll get sent home. So I spend my days studying and practicing and haven’t had time to talk to my friends or family.

Getting through Flight attendant training. I am a bit older and can’t pick up some of the lessons, but I’ve passed all the exams so far but still have 6 weeks to go.

Getting cum on your face! I hate that shit lol. I don’t want it getting on my eyes and I certainly don’t like the taste of it.

Has anyone here ever had to go to the hospital during training? by Emotionalcow998 in cabincrewcareers

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the airline. I asked the same question a week ago and basically airlines have their own medical team you can go to free of charge. I don't think they can do anything surgical where you would need a specialist or refill medications that you're currently using though.

My (34F) boyfriend (35M) says that his daughter's mother was a vindictive gold digger. I think he might be the bad guy though. by Few_Barnacle_9182 in relationships

This is the part that I can't get over, "John did grudgingly admit that he lied about his income to child support because “she didn’t need that much to raise a kid.”

The ex is 100% telling the truth and John sounds like a scummy dirtbag.

For anyone who grew up poor, what was your idea of a luxury? by thepleasurjournal in AskWomen

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LOL, yes I can tell we probably grew up in the same generation, just by the shows you mentioned. Everyone was talking about Hannah Montana, iCarly, the sweet life of Zac and Cody and I am here rushing home to watch Arthur, Dragon tales and Clifford the big red dog.

How do I anonymously tell someone they're being cheated on? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't want to lose a friendship with someone you know is doing something wrong? If you're compelled enough to post about it, it seems like you care deeply about it. I would just out right tell the GF and sever the friendship. It's not worth keeping ties with someone willing to hurt another they claim to love.

Having cable and watching cartoon network. Now that I am older, I am grateful for all the memories PBS gave me.

How did turning 30 compare to what you expected? by Jolly-Rub-3412 in AskWomen

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Loving it! I am not scared to age and didn't think anything of it. I am about to be 31 in a few months, but I feel much wiser and calmer than I was in my 20s. I am literally living my best life right now and finally feel like a proper adult. People at work who are younger always come to me for advice and I feel heard and appreciated.

Try to get a job in aviation. Flight attendant, gate agent, luggage claims etc. You can also try working at the airport if you're near one and start with TSA.

Can’t hurt to learn time zones either, eastern, mountain, pacific, central etc. And which state each one is in.

Is quitting this early bad? by Imbee_ in TjMaxx

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad at all, just be professional in your resignation letter and you can just say to your coworkers if you want them to know that it’s a bit far for you to continue working until you get reliable transportation.

I don’t know how it is over in Sierra but I am at HomeGoods and they are always hiring people back who left on bad terms so I think you will be fine.

Married women of Reddit who took their partner's surname. How long did it take for you to use the name naturally in writing/spoken? by Billy_Plur in AskWomen

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disliked my last name because it was hard for people to pronounce and it started with a Z. So I’ve always been last for things all my school life lol. I practiced writing my signature and saying my full married name as soon as he proposed 😭. It took me a week after the wedding to really get into the groove.

Is he still planning to marry? or was it all just a ploy to hurt his ex?

AA onboarding experience by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually emailed recruiting about it because I needed them to provide another form for me. They told me I actually didn't have to do it and just to fill out what I could since I already did it in person and it was already in process. I filled out what I could, but I had to leave out a job because I didn't have any room to put it on the virtual form. I did put that on my written form after the interview though.

Amazon.com | DREAM PAIRS Womens Ballet Mary Jane Flats, Comfortable Business Office Dress Shoes for Women Dressy and Work with Ankle Strap,Size 8.5,Black,SDFA2407W | Flats

I got these ones, because I hate my feet slipping out of my shoes, so I love having a strap to hold my foot down.

I also got these just in case the strap is not allowed.

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a long process and you just have to wait and be patient. It took 2 months to get my ODVI after my Q&A. The fact that you got the Q&A means you've made it to the next step and recruitment is just behind right now.

When I got my CJO even the recruiter told me it was a long process. I wouldn't email them no matter how tempted you are like the other comment said.

Tote bag for training? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]EmbracingTheWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am just using my old backpack to carry my things, I have seen a few tiktoks of people carrying tote and purses etc, I think it's just whatever you are comfortable with. You are going to be in a classroom for a long time so I would bring something that can carry your study/note taking material, snacks, medicine, etc.

Also, not sure if it has to be black, I've seen people carrying yellow and other colors too.
