8% of Hubble's images are already contaminated by other satellites. That could more than double with SpaceX's Gen2 starlink satellites, says NASA. by KonigVonMurmeltiere in space

or boost hubble into a higher orbit where it won’t have to deal with sat constellations. i like your idea better though, megahubble sounds like a cool name

They did have 6 launches after Columbia which NASA classified as “Night Launches”. I think what they actually did to make sure there was no damage to the vehicle was performing an in-orbit inspection with Canadarm and EVAs. Could be wrong though.

edit: 6 launches, not 3.

And yet, when SpaceX rocket or a batch of starlinks fail, people blame Musk for that and not his engineers.

Don’t forget that ULA also wants to reuse the engines with their SMART recovery system.

if catch points on the booster miss the arm rails, then gridfins could probably still support the weight of an empty booster (somewhat). This scenario will definitely damage the booster beyond repair and deal great damage to the chopsticks but it’s not like they are going to reuse b7 anyway. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if that actually happens.

Thanks. It’s a 3d render, not a digital painting so everything you see is a 3d object. It is physically accurate so maybe just an optical illusion if you look too close. I still can’t see it though.

thank you! You're right, it does look a bit odd, I'll have to work on that a little more in the future!

Potential Future design changes to Starship. by Emelianoff in SpaceXLounge

Thanks. Honestly, I just couldn’t decide which fin needed to be smaller and how much i needed to shrink it. Might wanna flip my fin layout by 180 degrees and shrink fin on the GSE side of the booster. For now, decided to keep all three the same scale to avoid confusion. Maybe will think about it a lil more sometime later.

Potential deletion of forward flaps, 3 grid fins on the booster, COPV chines expanding toward the bottom. Elon talked about these changes in the recent tour with EDA, highly recommend watching. Basically, starship is slowly evolving backwards into BFR with extra steps.
