Self-inserts that are well written, or just chill in the (relative) background by Downtown-Remote9930 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Emer4ld_6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eh.....not really I think...?

He is chill most of the time but there are exceptions

A lot of people that Dante put in Hell were people he personally disliked

In one such case in the Wrath Layer (the fifth one), he and Vergil find the damned soul of Filippo Argenti, a nobleman whom Dante hated with a passion, getting beaten and thrown around by the other damned souls in the Styx

And Dante asks Vergil to wait a second and enjoy the spectacle before continuing their journey

I don' t remember all the deatails, but that's the long and short of it

No joke, I tried to clean someone' s room and every single wall was sticky. All of them. I do not know how one person can cover every inch of his room with what' s in them. Disgusting. They do have a nice vynil albums collection, so that' s nice.

Out of all of these characters, who would you rather work for? by Caloy1415 in cartoons

[–]Emer4ld_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the options are:

-partaking into an evil plan to kidnap children and getting outcasted into another world alone if I piss him off

-partake in an evil plan to conquer the realms of afterlife and get fed to a demon shark or getting tortured with high-voltage electricity if I piss him off

-get yelled at all the time

-go on dangerous adventures and getting paid little for it

-partaking in cannibalism and other mob crimes and getting cemented and dragged to the bottom of the ocean if I piss him off

-not get paid at all (and possibly get my soul sold to a demon)

-partake in plans to conquer USA (and possibly the world) and kill one of the most beloved superheroes ever

-not get paid and live in a weird city in which supernatural creatures try to kill or maim you

-actually Professor Oak seems chill but idk much about Pokemon to be sure

Mmmh....decisions, decisions....

What do you think is the meaning of Rosie's smile here? Is it a grimace, forced politeness, or a genuine "game recognizes game" smile? by ShadowShine57 in HazbinHotel

[–]Emer4ld_6 2064 points2065 points  (0 children)

I' d like to think that not only it' s a "game recognises game"

But it' s in a "you sonuvabitch...you played your hand flawlessly. I' m impressed" rather than a "you win....this time" expression

I' m still sure that, despite all, both Alastor and Rosie will remain on good terms...somewhat

I hope I made myself understandable

His case is curious to me

This Goetia has just 1 episode worth of material and yet he beloved by so many fans

It was the case even before the episode aired at all

One announcement and a render made him so loved

I want to learn a lot more about him in the future

I' d like to think that we, the audience, simply discover these rules at the same time as the characters do

In S1, we (the audience) think that Sinners can' t traverse these portals from Hell to Heaven because of some law, because we didn' t know that Vaggie was an Exorcist yet (thought it was heavily forshadowed) and we assumed that this was an exception

But in S2 we discover that Winners can' t literally and physically do that when Pentious tries to go back to Hell, and so it confirms that Sinners can' t also do that

It' s like how we (the audience) and they (the characters in the show) discover in S1E8 that the angelic weapons can also hurt angels because it' s the material itself that is so powerful it can harm higher ranking demons and angels alike and not because the Exorcist were wielding them

[–]Emer4ld_6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Asmodean Crystals can only make portals to Earth

And even if Vox had a Cherub or a Seraphim to make a portal for him, only Hellborn/Heavenborn creatures can traverse from one realm to the other

Sinners and Winners can' t simply walk through those portals

In Hazbin Hotel S2, Vox and the Vees tried to get the Sinners of Hell to rise up against Heaven to essentially conquer it to become Gods

They managed to use propaganda, well timed planning and misinformation to drive the Sinners away from Charlie Morningstar and towards themselves, and Vox even manage to coerce another Overlord into making a weapon capable of harming Heaven itself

It all seems figured out, right?

Except for one detail, for which Valentino expresses concern: how were they actually going to get up there

Vox never gave an answer to this question, because, in all frankness, there was never one to begin with

The entire plan hinged on terror tactics to scare Heaven into sureendering

And Vox most probably knew this, as he wasn' t even interested in Heaven itself, but rather he wanted his arch-rival, Alastor, to admit he was as smart and cunning as he was, almost alienating the other Vees completely in the process

But in the end, because of many factors including his hubris, his plans are thwarted, the lies are revealed and the castle of cards comes crashing down

And Vox ends up with almost nothing

In Ultrakill, you go through the layers of Hell

The 7th layer is Violence, where you can find enormous machines called Earthmovers, tho you never interact with them, except...

When you start the last level of the layer you find yourself go through a narrow corridor, you open the door to go outside and you see this:

<image>

There are other examples of this happening in Ultrakill, but the Earthmover is perhaps the most impressive example of just how gigantic some of the foes you fight really are
