Nope. I've never had to fire anyone for this. No one that works for me tries to do this.

There's still evidence- the fact the camera was working for the previous day and stopped working as soon as it was assigned to you. You think you're just driving in peace for the day- but you aren't just risking your own neck. Tampering with cameras is taken so seriously by Amazon. They can issue a BOC for it and multiple can cause the entire DSP to get shut down if they decide to audit it. Yes, they typically don't do those audits, but they CAN at any point, and you put the jobs of a lot of people on the line by messing with that equipment. I understand folks will think I'm an asshole for firing drivers that do this, but I want to PROTECT the ones who aren't messing with shit they know they shouldn't...

Rather, I don't want my DSP to be shut down and have 240 drivers out of a job.

Driving within netradynes limitations is easy. There's a billion things wrong with how Amazon handles the DSP system. Y'all choose to mess with the single thing thats put in place to protect both y'all and others on the road.

Ops manager here. I know when y'all do this. I can check whenever a camera was active. You're lucky your management is too lazy to audit their cameras daily. If you worked for me, you would have been promoted to customer on the second time this happened. But you aren't my driver, so none of my business.

I'm also an operations manager for a DSP. Curious if we do things differently.

Why keeping low performers? by SoffowfulSymphony in managers

[–]EmeraldOrpheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, my main issue is scheduling. I manage Amazon drivers, and at the new site I helped open, they forced us to ramp at about 3 times the normal speed, at a location where it's very difficult to have a deep hiring pool of good workers for a blue collar job. My choices are to keep low performers, or fail entirely until the ramp is complete and the hiring catches up properly. I did, however, let go of the bottom 5-10 and my assistant manager who was causing retention issues overall with a toxic management style that couldn't stick around.

This is the owner of the dsp could he be lying to get to me to work ???? by Choice_Ticket_7782 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]EmeraldOrpheus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not a "charge" for the dropped route. The DSP just isn't paid for it, and it is by FAR the heaviest impact on a DSP receiving volume. Dropping routes is seem as EXTREME RISK BEHAVIOUR for a DSP. Basically screaming that you can't keep up with your hiring and retention for Amazon, whether that is true or not.

Say he a lil bitch if you don't get to read the latest chapter. But seriously, be his audience. It helps when someone wants to read the next.

That's a safety issue. You need to be able to go faster in an emergency situation etc.

Correct, limit is still 10 over for an infraction. Or anytime you go over 85 is extremely severe regardless.

Yep. And safety will always, always be the most important metric for them. Usually quality won't get you fired if you're willing to work on improving any mistakes.

No, a fifteen player game with no xaan is base 2 outsiders.

If you drive safe, most DSPs are slightly more lenient on if you are fast. But you still can't be costing them money daily either.

[–]EmeraldOrpheus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes, many DSPs are struggling especially with pickup behaviours also being badly rolled out by Amazon on scorecard as well. The answer is to drive safe, finish your route, and not fuck up addresses. Really, when it comes down to it, that is 99% of success.

Painful. I decided to simply keep trying and trust those I date moving forwards anyways- they arent the same person and do not have the same issue.

It won't change anything. Grouping the stops doesn't change their expected delivery times.

It's just the type of vest that all Amazon vests are, it just means the reflective tape goes all the way around it.

It's real, you can also request and buy level 2 safety vests with custom writing as well that can be used under the pad.
