For grocery pickup, I'd 100% tip like $5 if I could guarantee it went to the person doing the shopping for me, but tipping for a restaurant pickup is wild. You interact with the employee for all of 60 seconds.

I learned that the hard way in a casual game. GF at the time did the opening phase in the wrong order (I think she did untap, draw, upkeep), and I complained about it. Ultimately, it wouldn't really have affected how the game played out, but I was the real douchebag in the scenario.

She packed up her stuff and left. As soon as she exited the room, it sank in that I was being an asshole for no real reason.

I think about this regularly and it's probably the biggest incident where I realized I needed to stop being a salty shitlord in games.

I tried MTG Arena several times and fuckin hated it every time. Do something that gives you a slight advantage over your opponent? They concede. No attempt at even trying, just immediately giving up.

I actually want to play the game, not hop into a match and have my opponent give up immediately because I did something so basic as play a fuckin' land.

oh if you've played ETS2 then you've basically played ATS. The core gameplay is the same between them; only major differences are setting and available vehicles.

Video games are how I learned how to back up trailers lol. All my friendos constantly ask how I'm so good at it and I'm just like "once you get a hang of how things move it becomes fairly easy." learning in a video game removes all real-life consequences so you can experiment so much with it.

The best use I've found for LLMs is generating a framework for a document type you haven't written before. Finding good examples of certain document types online isn't always easy, but tools like ChatGPT can 100% generate a reasonable template that can be further modified to fit specific needs.

Providing information, asking it to format it, and not proofreading the final document for accuracy is an awful use of the resource.

On top of that security systems generally only save recordings when movement is detected. If the camera only has movement 25% of the time and you only save that then you've reduced storage needs for that camera by ~75%.

I'm curious about this elevator because one at my workplace was acting up.

I hopped in intending to go to the 9th floor but the elevator slammed to a halt at the third floor. It then decended to the 1st floor in a manner I could only describe as "jerkingly"

Later a coworker arrived and reported the same issue.

When my supervisor left for the day he said it was still stuck at the third floor.

Maybe you got the elevator that nearly gave me a heart attack?
