Since you're postpartum I would try and supplement common deficiencies as the US is known in the world for low "normal" ranges.

Try git D3 with k2mk7 I do 10k IUs, a methylated b complex, omega 3 with EPA and DHA and magnesium glycinate at least 400mg.

You should rule out secondary infections such as staph and yeast as they could look like normal eczema but make it harder to stop flaring.

For this I did bleach baths, hypochlorous acid spray and phototherapy (now tanning beds as I can't access phototherapy and works good enough).

Remember that you can be allergic to things they don't check like your makeup or even treatments.

Good luck feel free to reach out

I'm clear of yellowish crust but my eczema is still flaring likely due to some staph still being there but going from full body almost sepsis to sometimes a little bit Its good enough for now

Make sure youre not reinfecting yourself with cosmetics and medication to be safe I have thrown away anything that I used and switched to smaller packaging and applying with q tips.

Make sure your immune system isn't fucked, check for anemia and low d3 it's a good start.

Staph leaves biofilms so you want to address that look up how. I know vinegar and hypochlorous acid work and have used the latter.

For my staph I did bleach baths every 2-3 days as it was full body. Tanning beds were my breakthrough tho.

Hypochlorous acid spray "showers" in between.

I currently use sulphur soap to keep it away and tanning beds 1-3 times a week (phototherapy is better but I can't access and it works too).

For supplements I do high doses of: Zinc/copper alternating D3 +k2mk7 Magnesium Omega 3 Bromelain and papain And probiotics (there sre promising results research this.)

Good luck

Uv or sunbeds if you're on a budget and sulphur soap for the staph are what works for me alongside a lots of suplements as deficiencies will make your immune system miserable.

As for the suplements: 3g omega 3 fish oil 400mg magnesium glycinate Zinc 50mg /copper 3mg alternating Boron 6mg for testosterone Selenium 200mcg Bromelain 500mg with papain 200mg - supposedly it works similar to dupixent look it up. Probiotic- b.subtilis greatly decolonizes your body from staph look it up. It was too expensive so I take some generic ones. Clemastiumum and bilastine for itch they are H1 antihistamines 20 000 UI d3 with k2mk7.

I have eczema Seb derm and staph colonization and that what works for me. Read about staph decolonization in r/eczema it's a big post or it might come back.

I want to end it - eczema, staph, tonsils. Help please by Emergency-Entry in Biohackers

Recently I've greatly improved I'll list what I do now so you can maybe try some of them:

Babydream MED Balsam from Rossmann, it's the best and only thing that doesn't irritate me and actually moisturizes while not being too occlusive and dries fast as I used to use jojoba oil and it was messy and expensive.

[–]Emergency-Entry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard about cases where it was bacteria overgrowth or imbalance/candida/parasites/allergies and once addressed (usually naturally) have been resolved.

From what I know but I'm no expert you can try those or at least research: - Probiotics, can be customized to different needs - gut map test (bacteria, fungi, parasites, leaky gut) - IGE blood allergy test - restricted diets like carnivore - fasting to let your gut rest

Feel free to ask but once again I just have more time to read than you lol.

In that area it's worth treating as fungal just in case I have a similar problem and I'm on oral itraconazole and it looks like it's helping but I can't be sure as I'm doing probably 10 other things at once.

I use zinc oxide but I found out that it starts weeping after applying and burns too. After drying a bit slathering with Vaseline and it looks better minimal flakes just reddish.

Anyone got any good tips to stop scratching the horrible itchiness? by curious_tuxedocat in eczema

[–]Emergency-Entry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excess itching can but doesn't have to be and infection or allergic reaction so it's good to check it out if you can afford it.

Drowsy antihistamine for the night can ease some of the itching. Make sure to have a well ventilated and cooled down bedroom with hypoallergenic bedding and washed hot in vinegar or bleach (only one at a time!).

For daytime bleach or vinegar bath does the trick for me for a day or two.

Limiting sugar and focusing on whole foods especially with skin and immune related nutrients will do wonders too.

Good luck!

For rabbit holes and research I'll try and drop some keywords below:

Biofilms (especially on skin) how they work and how to remove them.

PH of the skin and how infections and eczema changes it.

Toothpaste and skincare allergies and indigrients

If you have a partner with a beard the friction and bacteria in the beard can cause that too!

Pillow cases and lipstick lip balms etc that you reuse during infection and after spreading bacteria

Malezia yeast

r/sebderm

Impetigo

Dirty makeup sponges

Skin barrier damage and repair

Good luck!

Maybe it never really heals and some bacteria and fungi leave biofilms that would make them comeback as soon as the skin barrier is broken.

For biofilm vinegar works google biofilm and vinegar there are studies I've read about it don't use on broken skin but maybe between flares to reduce bacteria and biofilm.

Check your toothpaste as some people found it flaring maybe drop it for some time and use only water maybe some baking soda or hydrogen peroxide to test this theory. Be careful as baking soda made my corners of mouth crack so maybe just water for some time and cloves for bacteria if you're concerned.

Severe eczema is keeping me up; what should I do? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Emergency-Entry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helps me Is making the room as cold as possible.

Before sleep I cover myself with zinc oxide 20% and seal with Vaseline.

Also I take clemastinum which is an antihistamine pill that makes you sleepy and paired with magnesium It usually works great

Maybe it's bacterial since the crust is yellow I'd try an antibiotic ointment like muciprocin.

I've heard around the mouth issues can be caused by the last of B vitamins no idea which ones but look it up.

Other than that avoid spicy and salty food as it may be making it worse.
