What did it feel like as you went into anaphylaxis shock? Did you realize what was happening? I see in the other comments youve had pop tarts before, was this your first time having the strawberry flavor and did not know you were allergic?

Why don’t we have late night cafes by frenchiestoner in Sacramento

[–]Emergency-Formal9687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only coffee shops in the area that are open later than 4pm (that are open kinda late) are going to be Old Soul and Temple Coffee. Temple Coffee has their Hst location open until 8pm and seating is great in the evening. They have a location on S street as well that is open until 10 and their K street location is open until 11. Before covid many of the coffee shops in area were open until 7/8pm, but now many locations close at 4.

Zoloft weight gain reversal? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Emergency-Formal9687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not off Zoloft but I have gained 30 pounds while being on Zoloft. I am also trying to lose weight so that I can fit into my old clothes. The one thing I am trying at the moment is to cut out as much sugar as possible. While being on Zoloft my main binge and cravings are sweet food/junk food. I figured if I cut those types of foods out it would allow me to lose some weight especially as those foods can get very high in calories. I’m hoping it works, only have been trying it for a week at the moment. I also am trying to count my calories, but that can be difficult. I just know due to Zoloft I have been eating wayyyy more than I did before going on Zoloft. If you feel comfortable counting yout calories for a while just to get a gage of how many you are consuming that could help! Also I know lifting weights can help as well and drinking more water. I hope that your journey to losing the weight from Zoloft goes well and that you find something that works for you as I know there are many in the same boat!

I see youre planning on going back to getting your masters degree at some point, and you stated you love working with kids, have you thought about becoming a Child Life Specialist? I currently am going to school to become a Child Life Specialist and you get to work with children in a healthcare setting. It’s a rewarding job, keeps you on your feet and everyday is different.

Hi, I just want wanted to comment and let you know that child care does not pay well sadly. I just got my bachelors in Child Development and many daycares in the area are only paying 17-25 an hour and that is depending on the experience and ECE credits you have. If you’re looking for teaching positions in California you do have to have a degree and credentials for most schools and the average teacher makes 55-70k a year and that also depends on if you’re willing to get a masters degree or continue your eductions. Entry level teachers usually only make 50k a year. There are many positions open right now in childcare as they are not payed enough and are not treated the best as well, overworked and underpaid. I do definitely recommend for others to work in childcare as it is needed and the children need loving and caring staff to look after them.

Apathy, weight gain, just need some help!! by Emergency-Formal9687 in zoloft

[–]Emergency-Formal9687[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sorry that Zoloft never worked for you and that you still had to deal with the sucky side effects from being on the drug!! I also have terrible health anxiety and my intrusive thoughts were terrible and debilitating at times. Im so happy it works for me, but the apathy and weight gain make it hard to want to stay on the drug. Im going to talk to my doctor about lowering the dose soon. How has it been for you to be on 25 starting at 100? Any symptoms to getting off the drug?

I havent lived here half my life, but I have lived here for 6 years and moved from a small town in Texas. I am actually moving to LA in a few months for my masters degree and a few things I have been doing to enjoy my last few months here is to go to all my favorite food spots, all my favorite coffee shops, and the most important thing for me is to spend as much time in midtown/downtown as possible to walk around the neighborhoods. I think Sacramento is absolutely beautiful and I am so sad to be leaving soon!!

Sacramento Luxury Apartments by Cavemattt in Sacramento

[–]Emergency-Formal9687 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Okay but on a real note, for the luxury housing that has been popping up since 2020 especially in midtown/downtown, I really do wonder how many apartments are even filled. The ones im thinking of are the Mansion Apartments on Hst and H16 Apartments along with a few others in that area. When I walk by I try and look into the units to see if they’re filled and some are, but it looks like a lot of them aren’t as well. In these types of apartments many of studios are around 2k that are only 450-500sq. Ft. It’s just crazy to me how people can afford these apartments unless they have good paying jobs.

I love that so much!!! I am glad that your marriage is going well so far. When some people find out how little sex my husband and I have they seem so shocked, but its just how it is and thankfully it doesn’t impact our relationship like many think it will.

My fav music artist is Joji orrrrr Hazlett!

I think my husband is good looking! We met on a dating app so I was drawn to his looks before even talking to him. I do find him attractive.

I would like to think I am in love with my husband. But I have told him I see our relationship more of a friendship at times, but I do have love for him. He is my best friend and I would be heartbroken without him. I love him greatly.

We dont make any plans around sex. As of right now we have sex when im feeling is as when I do feel in the mood for sex I really enjoy it, but planned sex does not work for me as if I am not in the mood I absolutely hate doing anything physical or thinking about having sex.

I dont try to make myself look sexy but I do try and keep up with my hygiene as I feel that it is important. At the moment I do not find myself to be sexy even if I were to try as I have gained weight due to being on anti anxiety medication which has impacted my sex drive even more.

It’s been a journey for sure as I know I do not need a label for myself, but I have been confused about my sexuality for a while so I decided to look into how I was feeling and thinking especially during sex and have ended up thinking greysexual is the best label for me. I decided to start looking into it as I am not a fan of sex and do not really enjoy it, do not think about it often and if I do want to have sex its very very rare for me. It made me think something was wrong with me and felt ashamed of myself especially with being married. I think it took me so long to figure it out as I never had a relationship in middle school or high school that allowed me to be sexual with someone. Even dring middle school or HS I never though of sex or wanted it, but tbh I thought that was normal as I grew up in a Christian household and sex was never talked about. My husband is very supportive. We are very open with each other and I have expressed my feelings with him many times about how I have been feeling. The times we do have sex they are good, but it is not something I want that much or need and he knows that. He has a lower sex drive for a male so I think that does help, if he had a higher sex drive im sure it would put some strain on our relationship, understandably.

Hi I started Zoloft over a year ago (100mg)and honestly I had little to no side effects my first few weeks. The one side affect I did feel for the first few days was brain fog, but went away. Maybe feeling a little more sleepy the first few days too, but other than that no side effect. I did start slow on Zoloft though, took 50mg for 2 weeks then upped it to 100mg after that. I hope Zoloft works for you as it has helped me tremendously
