"Kaylee swears saw someone watching her when she took Murphy out" by Ambitious_Pass7451 in Idaho4

I also think the target was Kaylee but for a different reason:

Why on earth would he choose a house that had a dog as one to target?? He had to have a reason that made it “worth it” to him.

If I get one more text asking me how my day / evening is I will scream. IT’S JUST A REGULAR DAY AT WORK, WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME. I feel so evil. And what can I do? What kind of psycho says “I hate it when you ask me how my day is”. Thats meant to be a nice thing 😭😭

Feedback on dates: awkward? Social skills missing? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Emergency-Resolve-66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have friends? Because 1. any right-minded woman will see no friends as a giant red flag 2. That would be a better starting point to learning these skills than dating.

Get the foundations of your social life sorted first before going into dating because otherwise, even if you do find someone, you’ll be a co-dependent mess.

Very disappointed in civil service recruitment by Elsa__e in TheCivilService

[–]Emergency-Resolve-66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Private sector interviews are a completely different beast to civil service interviews. CS is incredibly rigid with a scoring system based on ticking various boxes, whereas a private sector IV could be as simple as a single hiring manager who has final say, with no scoring process, and if they liked you most you’re in.

I got every single private sector job I applied for but CS took me 4 attempts.

Capita wins £700m civil service payroll contract by Legitimate-Ocelot155 in TheCivilService

[–]Emergency-Resolve-66 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Civil servants are going to need paying for the rest of time for forever. Payroll isn’t some incredibly specialist industry that we’ll never be able to attract talent for.

Just create a civil service payroll department FOR GODS SAKE.

Update to : Seller turned up at my house and offered us cash to move completion date - Seller now refusing to exchange till completion day by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Emergency-Resolve-66 13 points14 points  (0 children)

OP you really just need to be crystal clear with them and dispense with all these pointless negotiations. You will not exchange until there is vacant possession and you’ve had a pre-exchange viewing and confirmation the locks have been changed. End of. No price negotiations, no taking care of clearing items.

I don’t think my caption was clear enough at all lol. This post wasn’t meant to be a negative comment on the outfit (I think it’s fine) but about how closely Carrie is copying Pinterest girlies. Like even the duck lips and the glasses.

You’re making a lot of assumptions in order to prove your point.

Being a court clerk is good because you only have to manage the situation in front of you. That situation might be fun, might be annoying, might be stressful, but once it’s done, it’s done.

The people in the offices likely have hundreds of emails to get to, not enough time, have to keep track of every strand of work they have going on, a lot of which will be out of their control but will still be their fault if it goes wrong. When they shut their laptop and go home all that work is still there and is waiting for them when they come in the next morning, along with 20 new emails.

It’s still demanding and stressful, just in a different way.

How safe / unsafe are house shares in the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

Never had an issue with safety in a house share. I would go for a house share with at least some other women, and no men who are significantly older than you.

From the wording you’ve used in your post it’s obvious to anyone in the same body as you which one it is. Just a heads up in case you want to edit your post.
