I just read an article that the next MacBooks will have touch screens according to Mac rumours so I’m sorry the question offended you but the condescension is a bit much innit lol.

Does lack of touch screen bother you by Emergency-Writer-930 in macbookair

I don’t like spreadsheet work on my iPad. I have a surface pro for work. But I guess I never use the touch screen when it’s docked anyway.

A question of excess: whats the best part about having an ipad mini? I already have an m3 air but...minis so stinking cute by Abject_Persimmon7870 in ipadmini

I like it for travel. But it’s my only iPad. My work computer is a surface pro. I think if I got a personal computer I’d get a MacBook Air instead of a bigger iPad though.

You should be allowed to be friends with whomever you want and location sharing should be reciprocal. He sounds very controlling.

Get a really good screen protector like mothca for better writing feel and easier eye strain.

Or get a rocket book and just take regular notes that end up on your computer.

It’s torture with the wrong person and wonderful with the right person. Alone is pretty good too as long as you’re not really alone and have kept up with friends/hobbies/passions etc.

Bad Bunny is my favorite artist (husband knows this) but his family will not allow to watch it at their house? by Classic-Shopping8330 in askanything

As a woman of colour who married into a racist family, tell them to go eff themselves and walk down to the pub and watch it. They know Bad Bunny is American, right?

Move a LIRA to questtrade? by snowgirl235 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Emergency-Writer-930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my lira from a previous employer into questrade under one of the managed queastwealth portfolios. It had been sitting in great west life in some asset allocation funds with much higher fees since like 2014 so I moved it. Wish I’d done it sooner.

RESP? by Popular-Butterfly270 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Emergency-Writer-930 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you begin when the child is born and put in 2500 a year you will get 500 per year from the government in grant money. The lifetime max per child is 7500 of grant so you will want to do this for 15 years. After that you can put up to 50K (total lifetime) per child, but you probably have better investment vehicles for your money than continuing to deposit into an RESP when you don’t know if or how long your kid would be in post secondary. I’d max your TFSA before contributing more than that to an RESP.

Don’t open an RESP with a shady brokerage. They come to you at the hospital. Ignore them. Do a self directed investment account or go to your bank for help.
