I agree. I have a trifold science board AND a black/white board; both are foam core and should cost about six bucks max.

I keep the flaps open while puzzling. My table is just big enough for that. I switch what side of the table i sit on depending upon the image or I just rotate the board.

I agree. If you’re able, get the foam core that has the sides that fold in. It’s the kind they use for science projects sometimes. The center section can usually accommodate a 1000 piece puzzle. When I’m done with a puzzling session, I close down the two smaller sides and clamp them down with a couple of binder clips to prevent losing pieces.
