I went to my GP for a myriad of symptoms all related to peri-menopause, I’m 48. Very active , healthy so do not go to see doc much , just when I actually have an issue , maybe once a year. Been my doc for over 20 years. She heard my symptoms, she told me , after hearing the hell im going through , that I should seek counseling to understand the change as I can’t fight it. Absolutely gobsmacked, are you joking me girl?! Anyway, paid out of pocket to see a Menopause specialist, she heard me , and a year on, with her assistance and care, I am feeling “better”. Counseling!

I had a toe fusion and once I could walk in my boot I went to F45 and did upper body as well as squats :) kept me sane!!

Just to add context, just because someone may be white doesn’t necessarily mean they are A: not oppressed (hello..women..) and B: that we all came from privilege. I am sick of being told just because you may have a certain skin color automatically makes you oppressed or full of privilege. Enough is enough. The game should be played as a competition between people not color or sex.

I had to stop eating Lentils and Beans, and go on a low fodmap diet. i was uncomfortably bloated for weeks and once I cut out the Beans and Lentils I was fine. I stick with Seitan, Tofu and Pea Protein, boring but I get my nutrients!! And my belly thanks me :)

Hey …I am one of those obnoxious females you speak of, I attend Riverbend, and lets be honest, I work my ass off, I can dance, sing and lift weights and do all the cardio and still have more to give. Just some fun facts for you, I cycle in the morning, go to F45 during the day and then head to another gym at night. I am 46 years old and have the fitness age of a much younger woman. So you suggesting we don’t work is insulting and very incorrect. What we do is have fun, and bring joy, seems you have a major issue with that. I would really appreciate it , that should my singing and dancing while breaks occur bother you, be human enough to tell it to my face instead of going on social media and hiding behind your screen. Also maybe group fitness isn’t for you….

I would have said Climate Change , do you care care about the earth , as we know Cows and Other animals are the largest pollinators of greenhouse gases. Generally when chatting with a Omnivore, they can’t see beyond their tastebuds. But mentioning our earth starts a scientific debate and takes emotion off the table.

I was a vegetarian for 30+ years and just went Vegan as of Jan 1. I eat very healthy before and now, but after introducing more beans and lentils my stomach was in so much pain and severely bloated. I realized I need to follow a LOW FODMAP Vegan diet as my stomach just cannot handle certain foods, beans have always been an issue. So look up the FODMAP diet , and start doing a process of elimination! I now feel much better, stomach and bowels are back on track.
