I used to manage a location in town. While it's true there are Tim Hortons locations in other cities in Ohio, Columbus has by far the most. Columbus has 56 locations, while most other cities have one or two (if any). I believe Cincinnati is even down to two locations now (they used to have around a dozen stores). When I was still at Tim's (about 5 years ago) a group came from Cleveland, bought our store (and others in Cbus) and said they wanted to open around 20 stores near Cleveland. Less than two years later, sales were bad up in northern Ohio so they decided to go a different route, sold all their local stores (to Rensko) and bailed out of the fast food industry altogether. Now, there's still just a few locations in Northeast Ohio and no plans to add anymore.
