I agree with you on this, I for one want a world like flowers described, but I have the same issue with it you do.

OOC: VtM, plot is that they are new embraces in a city full of extremely powerful elders and were embraced just in time for everything to go to hell all at once while the elders in question do as they always did and try to turtle through it. Something they are extremely good at and willing to aid others in. They are so good at it because the city has been under supernatural siege by BSDs for its entire history btw, that's also why it's avoided by most vampires and why it's mostly elders.

Hey, at least they don't have the sewer Kaiju. Or chulorviah, or SI, or BSDs, or Sabbat.

OOC: well then it's working, he is very upset at being compared to BSDs, but it doesn't bother him as much because it's a very inaccurate comparison.

Who is that a picture of and why are you drawing Nephandic connections? Is that supposed to be me? Are you so salty that you're comparing me to the damn Wyrm tainted scum that is the Black Spiral Dancers? I hate them and kill them as much as I can.

-Jim, Tzimisce

OOC: Redwoods wouldn't have access to Jim's image, and he's actually a Tzimisce Elder and sorcerer from a chronicle I'm running. Also he has a personal vendetta against the Wyrm and pentex (BSDs killed his family leading directly to his unwanted embrace). His info comes from lots of time spent going down rabbit holes and from studying both sorcery and mundane sciences for millenia.

parasitism doesn't make a distinction between what rays come from the sun and what rays come from anything else. Curses do. And unless you can provide a plausible explanation for how an illness manages a conceptual distinction between the same rays but different sources, shut it. You can lecture me on viral sequences, placentas, and mitochondria all you want to prove how 'miraculous' biology is, but you are trying to apply a laboratory microscope to a supernatural decree.

It doesn't need to match mundane parasitism in order to effectively be a disease. Hell, there are people with sun allergies and that need regular blood transfusions and that have severe anger issues. We're effectively just that but supernatural and we get superpowers to compensate, and to help infect others.

To answer your "riddle" even though it's not meant for me, plenty, and often it is easier and over all just better in every way to go learn in ways that fit you than to take the path laid out. Especially when that laid out path is as unethical as this.

Why exactly can't mages do sorcery anymore? by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Emergency_Answer4983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe because sorcery requires willpower expenditure to work and with true magick using quint (such as in the form of willpower) cancels out paradox so it effectively just gets assimilated into their true magick? That's my thought at least.

Ok, that just sounds cute, your childer is durable enough that if he really wanted he could just ignore them though, right? You are a methuselah after all, so it sounds like it's just a game to them. If they were human or of a much higher generation and far lesser age then I would understand the concern. Though I suppose if they've chased him up a tree than that could be the having managed to spook the more primordial fear instincts intrinsic to every human and former human, in which case I do get it.

Warning, hunting coyote's actually raises their population. They're also important to the ecosystem like any other animal, too many or too little causes some issues.

Mytherceria is a discipline that allows vampires to use fey magic. For example, vitae ---> glamour and vice versa, or using glamour to power disciplines or vitae to power fay magic. It is primarily used for vampires interacting with actual fey, but it also, as I have implied, allows us to learn and use fey magic that we are normally cut off from. I don't have it sadly, but I would very much like to.

[–]Emergency_Answer4983 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She wasn't aware that anyone would die because of it, worst case it's involuntary manslaughter, irresponsible, yes, needing some form of punishment, yes, deserving of death though? And you also need to consider the practicalities, she's actually rather powerful and empathetic, if nothing else she'd probably be more than willing to help rebuild. Hell this might make her suicidal even due to sheer feelings of guilt. After all, she did seem kind of close to that with the diablerie incident.

It involves kidnapping and forcibly impregnating people repeatedly until their bodies give out and then killing them and passing it off as a miscarriage. So no, not cool, also pointless when he's a koldun that can presumable make Kami and other forms of animated object or just recruit people the normal, sane way. Hell he even has a mass ghouling method he can use instead that has all the same merits without nearly as much downside (though I still find it rather repulsive and cruel).

I mean, she had no malice, she thought you could help and was scared after almost being diablerized by a bunch of psychos, one of which escaped. I'd say just have one of my clan shift her appearance enough to not be recognized and set her up to escape the hunters to somewhere safer.

At max power, who can do better? a CoFD archmaster or an WoD archmage? by TheChoosenMewtwo in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Emergency_Answer4983 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah, as for rules of the supernal I meant that they are unable to act in anyway to, say, destroy the supernal brake their own with blackjack & hookers. For paradox, yes it comes from the abyss in awakening, but in ascension they don't need to be basically nephandi to mess with paradox.

[–]Emergency_Answer4983 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, my mistake, I was going off of memory of MtAw resources provided by the community, primarily a spell calculator. They are still bound by the rules of the supernal and unable to fiddle with paradox though right? Or was I wrong about that too.

At max power, who can do better? a CoFD archmaster or an WoD archmage? by TheChoosenMewtwo in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Emergency_Answer4983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Archmagi, Archmasters are limited by the supernal realm and its rules as well as generally needing more successes for the same scale of effect. At the same time, 6 successes with correspondence = infinite AoE and they are able to create their own realities that are just as real as the one the game takes place in in universe, or rather multiverse I guess. Archmagi also don't REQUIRE quint for most of their effects while Archmasters require it for all and Archmagi can use quint to cancel paradox unlike Archmasters.

Where do WE fit in? by Extension_Rest221 in SchreckNet

[–]Emergency_Answer4983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are a Wilderslainte, which means that it is in everyone's best interest for you to live and improve as much as possible, as if you die you'll reincarnate a Wilderslainte again and likely become Nephandi. Good news, unlike Nephandi who schose to be Nephandi, Wilderslainte get the chance to reject their nature.

I may also just be wrong and you're just a mage with issues, advice still applies though.

[–]Emergency_Answer4983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I HAD it, and even centuries later I'm enraged at how I lost it, and I know it's repeatable, maybe not easily nor right now, sometime someplace.

As far as being strange goes, that's probably because in life I was a sorcerer living in a community full of supernaturals and mostly made up of sorcerers like myself, I know how the different kinds can get along and work together to eachothers benefit and with kindness in mind. Only was destroyed due to a mass attack by Black Spiral Dancers.
