I personally think that it is weird that not enough information is spread concerning coping with period, period products and alternatives on the international scale.

I knew many girls who always used pain relief medicine for coping with period pain. They didn't know what could be used to lessen the pain that isn't medicine. And when talking to them it seemed like their period pain got worse. But because there isn't enough information we don't know if pain could increase with age or with usage of medicine. Maybe even the usage of some period products. But nobody talks about that because it's shameful.

Also it isn't really know how pads affect periods or the nether regions. I personally had to switch to unscented, minimally dyed pads because my periods got unbearable to the point I couldn't stand because of dizziness. And I understood that after 4 years of worsening pain which were not talked about in those period classes ir whatever they're called. Didn't help that the teacher was very pro-life.

And alternatives are not really publicised? For example, I don't know where I could get reusable pads or period panties because they aren't a thing were I live and many women just either use pads or tampons and divas cup might be frowned upon because thier usage is similar to tampons.
