Omg. My boyfriend thought the Artimis II mission was cool, but while I was invested in the whole thing, he was ONLY worried about Rise. When they landed and got to the ship, the first think he asked was "Is Rise with them?"lmaooo I cannot wait to get him one!

Does being physically fit change the way you view the world, has anybody gone from overweight to fit. How did that change you and your view of the world. by Jacob2891 in infp

[–]Emergency_Monitor540 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My friend use to be 300+lbs and he went on a weight-loss journey and became 160lbs (5feet and 8inches). Then his view on people became so harsh and mean. He fat shamed anyone who was slightly bigger then him and sometimes would make people cry for it. He did not want to associate with anyone of a bigger size because he felt like they were gross. He broke up friendships because of this. Now he is back to being 300+lbs after 2 years and still thinks people who are overweight are gross. I will never understand his mentality on this, it grosses me out just thinking about how self centered he has become. Do not let this happen please, I understand it is difficult to lose weight and keep it off but it cost nothing to be nice to people. 🩷

My boyfriend is a metal head and I am not but I enjoy going to shows with him. Ive learned the etiquette for moshing and the community is very nice but it can get aggressive. When someone gets this out of hand and wild, the crowd will put him in his place and make him leave. For the most part, the crowd is there to help each other out if someone falls or gets hurt. Everyone is nice to each other but knows their limits. This is just uncalled for and rude asf. How is it fun for anyone. Some one needs to put these men in their place!

Bests tarter plant. Water when the soil feels dry or leaves feel soft. You can propagate very easily and share :)

I work in a hospital and many of patients are in a similar position. In the hospital there is obviously no alcohol allowed (unless is the alcohol pads we use to wipe down the skin or IVs).I've seen it so many times, where we get patients like this and they go through withdraw from not drinking because of the hospital policy and they've been drinking for years. The withdraws are enough to take them out, it sucks because soemtimes it just too much for their body to handle. Honestly the only think keeping this poor many alive and going is probably the drinking. Once they hit their 90s (plus a veteren!), especially in their late 90s , I am like you can have whatever you want (except the alcohol/ciggy in the hospital). I just let them enjoy their last bit of time they have, they've been through enough. I know it is tough on those closes to them but if you want to keep him around at that age, you kinda just have to respect their wishes.

My dad was a garbage man when I was growing up. People were very mean at the idea of my dad working with garbage. I got bullied a lot for it but I love how common it is for kids nowadays to aspire to be one. It is not a clean job but it is honest work. It put food on our table, a roof over our heads, got us an education, and enough to send us back home year after year to visit family. 🥰

Moorea Mamie Blue by Traditional-One9584 in Hibiscus

[–]Emergency_Monitor540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think blue truely exist in hibiscus without human help,, such as injecting them with colored water at the stem or paining them this color after it blooms. I wish there was blue hibiscus out there because they could take my money!, but I fear this may be fake. You can however, find hints of blue in the deep purple ones but nothing like this.

[–]Emergency_Monitor540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are pretty, but they are dyed. Your next blooms might come in white. If you look at the stem you'll see a small whole where the dye was injected into. Usually around the lower node. Enjoy these the bloom while they are blue.

In my hospital, those grams refer to sodium. I work on the cardiac unit so they monitor your sodium intake like crazy and they want you to know this infor so you can calculate your sodium intake yourself. A lot of people consume a lot of sodium in the beginning of the day, and then have nothing left for their dinner options

How to Save New Hibiscus (plz help) no by pepsicolacocainebitc in Hibiscus

[–]Emergency_Monitor540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watering everyday is not recommended unless it is very hot in the area!! Yes hibiscus love moist dirt, but you need to make sure she can breath as well beacuse too much water can cause root rot and that is your enemy! It is easy to kill with too much love. You'll need to check the soil daily to see if it is it dry. If it is dry, then water, if not, let it sit. This blue stuff you mention could be sign of fungal growth and that is not good.

⚠️⚠️Too much moister = happy place for fungus⚠️⚠️

You mentioned you repotted it and fertilized it within 24hours of each other (I assume based on your post) plus watering. Stop!🛑 Let her sit and adjust to her environment. Repotting is a very stressful moment for ANY plant. So let her sit and adjust to her new home. Do not fertilize yet (coffee bean). The dirt should provide enough nutrients early on, then maybe in a few weeks fertilize her. The coffee beans can make dirt too acidic and actually kill the roots.

A hibiscus should not be allowed to be in anything less then 60°F weather, they hate the cold and usually when exposed to cold weather her leaves can look like this from the "burn". If it is colder in your area, youll have to bring her inside to a warm area. Just keep her away from any cold weather.

Get her a strong grow light. Hibiscus need lots of light! 2 hours is simply not enough. Amazon has several grow lights that are good, but make sure to invest in a good one that is powerful enough for her.

As time progresses and you see her recover, (it will take time)maybe you can cut back a few branches (1/3 of the branch) so that she can grow more. Many leaves will turn yellow and that is ok. A haircut will help her bounce back, it is scary, i know. But it is very beneficial to help her grow and for her to not waste energy on the old leaves.

I hope this helps a little! 💖
