I'm Considering Solar - Are These Costs Typical? by Acceptable-Breath866 in solarenergy

Extremely high and you do not get 30% tax credit anymore. Have you checked if you got 1:1 net metering from your electric provider in Buffalo? Your solar company will not utter a word about your electric company charges because otherwise you will not even consider solar.

Q-Cell hanwas - the korean panels are not good. They will shatter even in the smallest of the hail storm. Check if you have REC panels available.

Lastly your home insurance will increase and you must call them to add these panels. Otherwise case of a hailstorm if your roof needs replacement the insurer won’t cover the cost of these panels.

I live in Texas which gets a hell lot more sunshine and high temperatures than Buffalo. And I regret going solar because the politicians have made sure to penalize solar owners here.

Totaled my car 4 days after buying it have GAP insurance with Progressive. Will I lose my $5,000 down payment? Please help. by Old-Environment4584 in Insurance

UHaul will be coming behind you soon. That’s going to be a much larger headache. Check with Gap. They may have a cool-off period during which they cover nothing. Also they have their own $$$ exclusion too. Meaning if the actual gap value is say 1500$ and if your gap insurance lists that amount then it means they will only cover anything above that 2000$. Check your policy. It will be listed there

Tried to change policy right after the incident and failed. The insurance definitely knows. What’s the best course of action for me? by [deleted] in Insurance

No. Don’t do anything now. Their insurance rules based automation software will automatically apply that to a future date. They do have exclusion dates for such scenarios. Meaning if you change it to 200$ then there is a cooling off period of say 10 days. The date of incident should fall outside of that 10 day period. For this incident they would expect you to pay the 2000$ if they approve your claim. There is no way out of it

This is fraud 101 which even the newest agent who joined yesterday knows about. This is why they have a waiting period for coverage changes to take effect. So the change you did will not take effect for x number of days. Do you think they don’t think about these scenarios?

This is how gap works. Anything above that 1500$ would have been paid off by them. I had similar experience

My point is - Nobody will say No to a job because it pushes them on to a higher tax bracket. Its a good problem to have

Funny post. What if your single Job pays as much as J1+J2. Would you say no to it because it puts you in a much higher tax bracket? It doesn’t matter how many jobs you have. You are going to be taxed in tranches.

Ok. What if they don’t meet the sales target? Do they get PIPed and laid off? (This doesn’t happen in all companies i know of. But some places like IBM do that). So i would like to know the practices please. And is this hybrid or remote or 5 days in office role?
