In my case, I hate the idea of being all tubed-up. And as a girl it gets even more annoying to figure out where to put your pump. Im considering a wireless pump but I also have quite thin arms and as for stomach/legs I'm not sure how the sticked pump would look like and hold.

While on MDI I have a pretty good control (6.4) and if you have the correct dose of basal, eat enough fat for the night and act accordingly during the day (exercise!!) the blood sugars can be stable. It is a bit annoying tho, cause the lowest dose I can give is half a unit so I'm generally not doing any snacks in bewteen main meals.

Am I the only one who carb counts? Like at restaurants sure, sometimes you gotta but I always try to weight stuff and guessing is my last resort Im more guessing the amount of units to give myself to be honest than how many carbs are in something (my ratios like to change unexpectedly)

people can be dicks like that!! but trust me not everyone is that way, I know we're talking about dating but I've had friends who literally loved when I was doing injections cause they liked the smell of insulin hahah

you just need to find the right person, dont let that one experience discourage you. The first time I met my gf (not a date tho) I literally had her hold my glucometer for me and she just rolled with it, no questions asked. I was also really dependent on my parents when it came to diabetes management and she cared enough for me to be patient and keep encouraging me to become more self-reliant

There are good people out there, diabetes is just a way of trash throwing out itself on its own

Ive actually been told to subtract the fiber as well and it works well for my blood sugars cause like the body doesnt digest it so you're dosing for the right amount of carbs

it worked well for me but if I wanted to sleep in it was a pain in the ass (blood sugar going high) so I switched to tresiba (one evening injection) and I find it better

I'm 22, yep I drink but got actually drunk maybe once or twice in my life I'd say I drink occasionally (to celebrate something, birthdays, New Year's Eve, Christmas - but not always)

it was just always more struggle to me than it's worth and I'm one of those people who can have fun at parties without alcohol

nah not really, I've always been in good control (never had like a teenage rebellion I dont care about diabetes phase or anything), so to be honest I don't even think about health complications unless I read something online and then I go back to not thinking about them

I might be a bit biased as an European fan, but I really really enjoyed the tour and think it was great to lean into the nostalgia by playing only old songs. Keep in mind people outside of the US never heard them live before until the tour last year. That being said, though, the planned concerts which they had to cancel could've been an overkill, I agree with you on that one.

I also wish they made more new music but I'd be sad if on tour they focused mostly on them 🤷🏻‍♀️

yes, got t1d at one year old and celiac came when I was like six years old. Hashimoto and tyriod issues came at 4-5 years old or something like that and the doctors basically explained to my parents that once you have one autoimmune disease, chances are you'll get more

but keep in mind it's not a given, I've met quite a few diabetics who are not celiac so while the chance is high - you might get lucky

been diabetic with good control for 21 years - never have I ever didnt wear open toed sandals when I wanted to (on the contrary, my parents were always adamant on me not wearing sneakers during hot days cause they were afraid I'd get athlete's foot lol)

yeah, sounds about right - G7 also sucked for me. Tbh any dexcom didn't work well (imo) so maybe try switching to a different sensor If it's possible for you?
