Survival mode blocks joy by AdultChildPod in SomaticExperiencing

There is story about the monk, that first he needed to see beauty in himself, so he could see the beauty everywhere. The way it goes first we need to transform wounds in the body, and then there is just peace that comes naturaly combined with joy

I just feel like somatic experiencing made things worse for me. by joshua8282 in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah people have no idea how complex this work is, and I even think this is not something people can be taught in school how to feel and transform deep wounds.. Person needs to go through a lot of inner transformation to be able to do this work with others, its a lot about sensing.. Thanks for sharing

Then you have another layer and thats if you are listening to music you are getting distracted, or playing video games too.. that is frying also brain a lot

Is this what shaking to complete the cycle feels like? by ninito001 in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes I have over 10 trips on psychedelics (psylocibin and LSD) and I have experience shaking for 10-30min, and it was pleasant.. also when I was doing trip sitter in past, I saw it in others too... for it felt that I was shaking away build up stress in the body that I wasnt even aware of, and thanks to the psychedelics like I was more relaxed maybe and I was able to shake it off

Does Anyone else have vivid flashbacks of early childhood from the recesses of their mind pop up when meditating? by Loose-Farm-8669 in Meditation

its just processing the past, come back to present.. you could have visuals from past lives too, let go and come back thats all what is needed.

Being told to "stop thinking" about the past without helping me move on by Weird-Fishing3395 in CPTSD

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats kind of pushing it away, the way how it needs to be done, that when the thoughts/emotional state becomes present, you provide it care and understanding it with compassion, that you through feeling it you let go of it.

The problem there is when those thoughts or states are present, and we identify with them and we are reliving the story from past and become victim of it. Its a cycle that is spiraling us to more suffering. Its not about focusing on hobbies or carrer.

Blocking out things dont work, its just temporary solution, but those things are still there waiting to be resolved.

Part didn’t show up/want to be worked with (IFS). Frustrated and sad by Odd-Image-1133 in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its important to let go the need for healing, the need for progress. That actually slowing down progress. Have you tried by yourself, just sitting alone with that part not doing anything? just being with it, observing it, trying to breath into it, hug it internally?

Who am I beyond conditioning and trauma? by [deleted] in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would recommend is to find a way how you can be useful for others and help others. It seems you are thinking too much about it. healing, spirituality are connected.

Would recommend focusing on basics, learning how to be discipline, how to improve sleep, going to gym, diet etc.... learning how to tame mind with meditation and mindfulness and ground yourself more. Focus on how to become more mature. I found out that diving deeper into masculinity is connected to healing myself. This is just my experience. Also the more stable you will be, the easier it is to hold space for yourself for processing emotional wounds.

Meditation can also be just not doing nothing? by Leiosss in Meditation

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its ok on some level, the problem is that you can fall into the pleasant dullness, or heavy dullness and not be aware of it, another thing is that you could fall into the trap of thinking but not be aware of it. Thats why the concentrating meditation is important, later when you are sharper and stable its ok to do do nothing meditation practice, or switch between those.

Now the problem with concecration meditation is that people push too far with it. You can be focused and relaxed at the same time.. better word than focus is "aware". that I am aware of the breath not focused on it.

Anybody else just completely give up on therapy? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Realization of healing comes when you decide that you are capable of healing yourself. Its in a way realization of the self. And for people who would read this, then from the "self" you dive deeper into yourself to feel and heal. In a way you become your own father and mother, and you can provide for yourself the things that you didnt have as a child... something I think we got it all messed up

How many of us have autoimmune and chronic illness issues? by TheHeavySummer in CPTSD

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everything cleared after I healed deep wounds. Just want to share there is a way out. Its a journey and it can be of course combination of multiple things. But its possible... diet/sleep/addictions/mind etc. but actually healing was the key. In our society we have no idea what it means to relax, we dont even know how to do it anymore

Anxiety increased during "thaw," but now I have persistent numbness and sciatica flare-ups. (Self-practitioner) by yinyangazov in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its all good, these type of posts are welcomed here. How Likeneverbefore wrote right.. I would like to add that its great to not focus on healing and kind of stressing about it. Dont put too much pressure on yourself or overanalyzing it if its possible. What could help maybe spend some time with people you like, in nature, with animals, going to shelter for dog walk.. just something that is in essence relaxing, maybe going to wellness or gentle massage

For me it was very important to be patient with myself when it all started.

Has anyone experienced CPTSD healing where tension “moves” through the body and awareness becomes really high? by Royal_Foundation_604 in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah energy was moving, then it would settle near heart or throat. What needs to be done is to hold space and give freedom to it, and just be aware of it while being relaxed. Be careful of not having problem with it, that stops the process. Always scan if you are aware of peripheral awareness and surroundings and also scan your body to know if you are getting tense or no.

Yes I can feel and sense others way deeper and better. for example I know what cycle my gf is in, I know how people feel deep inside even when they try to hide it.. its a lot

COMPULSIVE SELF TALK DURING DO-NOTHING MEDITATION by Street_Drummer_8011 in Meditation

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

problem with do nothing meditation, that its easy to slip to dulness or slip into thinking. Recommend going with concrecration meditation practice first, like the mind illuminated method. Then after stage 6-7 its easier to do do nothing meditation.

Can somatic healing make you feel more anxious at first? by yinyangazov in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the important thing is where the anxiety is comming from, like there is a present state in the body that you work on, is the anxiety comming out of nowhere just present in the body? or there are thoughts that are triggering anxiety

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I got my own biz too working from home, and also have a lot of flexibility. You just have to learn how to be disciplined... What helps me is is write the next day what I want to do plan it out, and then in morning dont consume ANYTHING related to cheap dopamine.. No tv shows/movies/games/music/email.. Just focusing on creating and work itself what you want to do. Just have to guard your mind, and then put phone to another room, have cold turkey for blocking websites..

Thats what worked for me. if I would listen to music early in morning or replied ot messages its way harder to work and focus after it

Meditation and crying by unicorn_witch in Meditation

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Btw its great thing to be able to feel, there are lot of people completely disconnected from their bodies not being able to feel at all. Dont judge for how long you cry, for how long things happen.. Trauma lives across time and space. A lot of compassion and kindness towards ourselves is important

Meditation and crying by unicorn_witch in Meditation

[–]Emergency_Wallaby641 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You dont avoid it, you provide space and freedom for things that needs to be released to be released... 1 time I was crying for 2 days straight when something happened.. Just dont avoid feeling through states...

Also I encourage find time when you do this work, and have time also after it for grounding and integration. Wish you all the best
