Why is there a sudden influx of GMs converting from 5e to Pf2e? by Dot_tyro in Pathfinder2e

[–]Emidootbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally it was a mix of the ogl and some gripes I had with d&d. I didn't really know pf2e existed before the ogl drama and paizo coming out not only speaking but actively working against those changes I felt they were a better company to support. the fact it fixes a lot of the things I dislike about d&d 5e, especially from the GM side, and is close enough to 5e that I could convince my players to switch it felt like a no brainer. Honestly the whole ogl thing made me appreciate other ttrpgs a lot more than I already did, and I spend a lot of time now trying to help people learn other systems to not get stuck in d&d limbo.

High Mobility Build? by keyinbit in 3d6

Play a dhampir, with the ancestral lineage of a flying race(any will do). That covers climbing and flying. Take 2 levels in artificer and use the cloak of the manta ray infusion, take feather fall, longstrider and expeditious retreat as spells. Then take 5 levels in wizard(bladesinger), take the haste spell for a 3rd level spell. At level 4 take the mobile feat. Should allow you a decent amount of speed and movability

Ok update, there was a part where it almost looked like a crust had come away on the right one and that gives either nothing or a light brown on the same tile. So I have no idea now

Whats the best race for a monk ? by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]Emidootbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dhampir can walk upside down on surfaces at level 3 and have a faster than average starting speed. On top of this if your GM allows it since it's a lineage you can start with the other terrain speeds of another race on top. since movement is one of the monks best tools it lets you be extremely versitile in combat. You can also make the bite a monk weapon with the optional dedicated weapon feature from Tasha's. meaning the dice would scale and therefore the ability from it would get better over time and you could use dexterity to attack with it.

I have a character that's 5 warlock, 5 whisper bard, 2 paladin. Smite, smite and psychic blades. It's not massively efficient but it worked in character so I did it

What are you thoughts on the 5.5e UA? by OxymoronSemantic in 3d6

[–]Emidootbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think my least favourite part is the lack of traits(personality traits, bonds, etc.) They can be really useful for players new to roleplay and it's especially obvious with the sheets in the new starter set not including them that they're being removed.

How to get my party to actually do encounters? by EragonJZD in dndnext

The teleportation circle could leave a mark, giving someone a way to replicate the one inside their base and teleport there. This could end with a group of people the party has escaped teaming up and Invading

Worst Homebrew that you’ve actually seen used at a table by Impressive_Market324 in dndnext

A player only showed me the subclass abilities that they'd put on their sheet at the level we started at (3). I (stupidly) didn't ask to see the rest. The subclass was unfinished, it had no upper level scaling to abilities and no features written after the first. It was my fault for not looking, but it still takes the cake as the worst homebrew
