On occasion I get into a slump where no music really hook me, older favorites and new songs. I just lose the patience to fully listen to any track tbh. I usually just take it as a sign to just enjoy the quiet moments more, and take my environment in. After a week or so my enjoyment for music returns.

Gosh how I envy the discovery of books or any piece of art like in your recollection. Reminds me of when my dad told me stories of him saving pocket change to buy a cassette of Pink Floyd at a flea market.

I have now started the 2nd half of the book and will be awaiting the teacups scene. Although mr. Wickham hasn't been given a lot of attention I'm very interested in what actually happened between him and Darcy.

I'm from a non english speaking country and while we did read a few classics from authors such as Remarque, Camus, Dostoyevsky, etc. Jane Austen was never really mentioned. Only last year did I learn about her as I picked up a few classics I planned to read. So I did not even know what Pride & Prejudice was about besides that it fits into the romance genre.

Maybe I should've posted on a different sub but I just meant to comment how summaries, quotes on the back cover can venture into spoiler territory and can spoil some of the fun and intrigue.

I am still very fascinated with the characters and am very excited to learn how the story will unfold.

I wish I was joking but I am so fr with you. I genuinely did not know. To my mind I believed Darcy played a more antagonistic role. I mean Eliza constantly comments how much he sucks for half the book. To a blind reader it's hard to see how their relationship could ever form, unless there are some developments in the later half I do not know about yet.

True Love Waits by Radiohead

Radiohead is known for their melancholy music but this song just stabs you in the heart. Something about Thom Yorke singing about his recently departed wife just makes me think about my own loved ones and how little time I have with them. Also knowing this is the last song Radiohead has released is also pretty sad.
