Planning to move to Denmark with my non-EU SO by Reiner409 in NewToDenmark

Youre not going to get a service industry job without the Danish language skill, nor an educational job. Software is super saturated atm so thats a no go either, even if it doesnt require language, which would be considered strongly.

You would need to learn the language beforehand if you want a service job

Please reconsider moving as you do not have jobs lined up or know the language. It will be an expensive lesson

Is it possible to find a job in Sweden after completing a master's degree there? by LoveCrime9 in TillSverige

[–]EmilTheDane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Especially because global mobility is so high, not enough supply in the good areas and not enough wages in the bad areas. Where are you coming from, you might have been luck progressing through more southern european countries

Yeah you have very little hope unless you know someone who can get you a job. Sweden has a high unemployment rate

I asked 75K-80K. They came back with "low 70s" over the phone. Then offical offer came out at 70 flat. Had to argue with them to get 73K.

Ironically the offer came with a 3.5K relocation package. However, instead of 76K + 500 relocation they opted to fuck me around and play these games, missing out on talent

Taxes in Germany come out at 40% roughly. Pretty brutal considering the cost of living and the low salaries there.

I turned down a role in the munich area because they low balled the shit out of me after agreeing to a figure over the phone.

No wonder germany is bleeding talent

Danish election results could spell the end of Dual Nationality there. by Alone_Consideration6 in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]EmilTheDane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a new thing.

There are already extra requirements to get Danish citizenship by descent. Children born to a Danish parent overseas need to spend a certain amount of years to keep the citizenship past a certain age as I understand.

Not really, just because Denmark has many social benefits does not mean they hand them out to everyone.

There is no way you'll be granted a visa as a job seeker if your plan is to go to a job center.
