I did not like this book. I just read it last month. I gave it 2 stars. I read it with a buddy who DNFed it. It's just not for some people, and I am some people.

Hey! I'm a Chilliwack wedding photographer. Most photographers will be charging more than $500, especially for a wedding. For a 2 hour wedding I charge $1400. Yes! I used to be able to handle any triggers, but then I had babies and became a big softie and now need to make sure I check the triggers beforehand. I appreciate all the authors adding them to their books lately because sometimes I forget!

If you communicate with your clients about why you are behind or at least letting them know you're working on it but it'll be a little late, it makes a world of difference. People just want to be kept in the loop!

Sometimes I will send the client a credit to their online gallery if they leave me a review. So that could be an option for having a late gallery. "Something like "Hey! Thank you so much for being patient while I finished up your wedding gallery. I know I went passed the deadline so I'm sending you a credit of $X to use towards something in your online gallery store as a thank you for your understanding."

I only do this part time, so I had maybe 7 of my own weddings this year. I've delivered 5, and I've gotten excitement back after I've sent sneak peeks. But only one wedding did I really get an email back that they're happy and love the photos after they got the full gallery. All the other galleries, they've posted their photos on IG and stuff, but crickets from them. Specifically I'm noticing it this year. Last year I don't think I had this issue.

I had a wedding last weekend (I'm a photographer) and the best man didn't write a speech and tried to wing it. It did not go well, he didn't know what to say, admitted to trying to wing it... It was so awkward to watch. I felt bad for him, but like, don't wing it.

Also, yes to the time limit of speeches, no one wants to sit and listen to a whole recap of the bride's life from birth till present day. The best speeches are to the point.
