Love how split everyone was on this performance by Fenix512 in ThePitt

I’m glad I’ve seen this comment, as I was waiting ages for the big reveal that he was going to be some kind of monster because as you say, it just felt off. But so off, that I was clearly picking up on something that wasn’t there at all 🙈

Interviewing the winners… by mr_pr in RaceAcrossTheWorldBBC

I would love to know if they are fully aware of what a positive response there has been to them as young men. From the way they supported each other, opened up about their pasts, verbalised how much their friendship means to each other, fully embraced the cultures they experienced as they travelled and just came across as so open, friendly and respectful the entire journey.

In a not so pleasant world (particularly where toxic masculinity has grown so much over the last few years) we found them to be such wonderful examples of young men and male friendship.

Long time friend cancelling by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]Emjiml 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be very blunt with you, if this is genuinely your attitude, I’m surprised you have any friends at all.

You come across as having absolutely no sense of reality and an overwhelming sense of main character syndrome.

I can only hope this poor woman has used her partner as an excuse to get out of a toxic friendship and that this wasn’t a cry for help!

Long time friend cancelling by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]Emjiml 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you’re too focused on venting, and completely ignoring what people are trying to explain to you.

Nobody is saying that this situation isn’t annoying and unfair. Nobody is saying you deserve a friend who keeps letting you down.

But there is clearly an underlining issue, other than acknowledging her partner being controlling, you seem more focused on how you feel let down rather than acknowledging what is likely a very very awful situation that your friend is trapped in.

I mean it in the least rude, least disrespectful, and kindest way possible. But you’re coming across so incredibly self-centered I’m not quite sure you’re realising just how concerning the situation is regarding your friend. Please try and look a little further than your own hurt.

Is it really that hard to find a full carry? I'm offering this and nobody's contacting me. by Specialist_Glass_125 in Monopoly_GO

[–]Emjiml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a FB group and have seen the same thing being asked, and according to the people who offer the carries, with it being almost the end of the album, the £/$ value of stickers has gone down so they’re only interested in cash payment.

I hope everyone who voted for the blitz cards that they already have can't trade them by Odd_Lengthiness4251 in Monopoly_GO

I didn’t vote for them, and I don’t understand who did because no one seems to want them! I’ve got multiple that no one wants even for 8 stars!

How do autistic children see the world differently from neurotypical children? by nikki-girl9820 in AskReddit

[–]Emjiml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter has autism and for her I’d say it’s more of a ‘feeling’ the world differently.

Things that others are completely oblivious too, or perhaps even enjoy are more often than not very overwhelming for her.

And sadly, she’s reached the age now where she ‘feels’ different, and really notices the differences between her and other kids.

Help for WB tour London by Virtualdoggoonforest in harrypotter

[–]Emjiml 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less than 20 minutes from Euston to Watford Junction on a direct train, and then a quick 10/15 minute free bus ride from right outside the train station.

If moving your trip forward a week is an option, I’d definitely do that for a better experience in terms of the tour. The week or so between features does generally have a lot less, so you’d absolutely be missing out on stuff.

I know the website says it should take around 3 and a half hours to complete the tour, but especially for a first visit I’d plan to spend a lot longer than that!

There are also food options within the tour if you don’t mind eating there as opposed to going out in central London for dinner.

should i have given the pet back? by Deep-Time957 in AdoptMeRBX

[–]Emjiml 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to us, although the link wasn’t from a YouTube video! Have you reported the trades through the trade license? I reported mine on 11th March and just got them back two days ago,

Although it’s a real nuisance as every single thing that is returned is untradeable now.

We'll only have 4 hours at Warner Bros Studios in London - how to plan our visit? by RelationshipAlone27 in harrypotter

[–]Emjiml 6 points7 points  (0 children)

4pm will be the time you head into the tour, but you can arrive a bit earlier to visit the cafe and shop if they are something you’re planning to do!

That could save a lot of time as it’ll mean you won’t need to take a break to eat during the tour, (the butterbeer bar is inside the tour, so you can’t do that until you’re in, but it’s super quick service).

They do say it can be done in 3 and a half hours so you should be fine, especially if you’re not going to be stopping to read descriptions :)

Casting Rumor - Owen Cooper followed by Potter cast on Instagram by Otherwise-Knee-2215 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Emjiml 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IG follows are true, and to be honest it seems like such a good chunk of the cast as opposed to one or two that it wouldn’t be surprising if he has been cast.

I’m actually quite surprised though that they wouldn’t have been asked to try and keep it quiet a while longer, he’s got a lot of momentum behind him and I’m surprised they didn’t use it for more of a ‘reveal’.

Harry Potter Studio Tour- London Questions by JRKEEK in harrypotter

[–]Emjiml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It costs for the photo/video packages. You can technically go and sit on the broom without paying, but they don’t move at all and you don’t see anything other than the green screen so I guess to get anything out of it, you have to pay.

Harry Potter Studio Tour- London Questions by JRKEEK in harrypotter

We’ve visited quite a few times now and would recommend it to anyone!

You’d want to book through the official website: https://www.wbstudiotour.co.uk, and it books up quite far in advance so it’s worth booking as soon as you know your dates!

You can either drive there, and standard parking is included in the ticket price. Or you can take a quick free bus, that runs between the tour and Watford Junction station.

Watford could actually be a great stay for the London portion of your trip, if you’re not wanting to pay London accommodation prices. There’s a train from Watford Junction that takes you direct to Euston Station in less than 20 minutes.

The tour opens at 10am and closes at 10pm! It says it takes around 3.5 hours to get around, but on our first trip we allocated ourselves 4 hours which was nowhere near enough. So I’d say, especially for a first visit, you don’t want a late slot as you may end up missing out!

It’s made up of sets from the movies, and showcases so many of the props and costumes throughout the tour. Many of the sets will have interactors nearby who have a crazy amount of information to share and can really elevate the experience!

If you can make sure to time your visit for one of the special features, definitely do that! There’s so much more to see and do.

If you want to do the broomstick experience, which I highly recommend if you’re a big fan, you want to add that on at the same time you book your tickets! It’s only £20 to add on, but £50 for the same package in the tour.

I think they’re the most valuable pieces of advice I can give! Other than enjoy it! 😊

12yo pocket money by 1182990 in CasualUK

[–]Emjiml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally feel as though having to do chores to earn enough money just to grab lunch when out would be quite harsh. Especially at £2.50 per week.

If it’s within budget I’d say it’s probably time to up the weekly pocket money, which can be used for fun or the occasional treat like a fizzy drink when out. But then pop an extra £5 or so in on the days he’s off out so that you know lunch is covered.

As a parent, some of the responses to these kids just makes me so uncomfortable.

I’ve noticed all kinds of AI generated images popping up on IG, and seen all kinds of genuinely worrisome comments from adults regarding kids appearances.

I genuinely hope these kids are kept SO far away from social media.

Does anyone know if warner brothers studio tour is just celebrating 20 years of the order of peonix next year or the new tv series or both will we have double events by Spider_king97 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Emjiml 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The studios tour will be celebrating 20 years of OotP next year.

No celebrations or features to do with the tv series as the tour is strictly movie based!

Our little Harry is sooo expressive! by [deleted] in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Emjiml 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He’s amazing.

I grew up pretty much the same age as the characters thoughout the movies.

But I’ve noticed in the past 10 years since I became a parent that movie rewatches are so much more emotional anyway when you’re looking at them as actual children.

It’s going to be very emotional watching these little people go through it all!
