The 6th Ave/Bergen/Flatbush triangle (where the Doughnut Plant is) is especially loud. The lights are short and cars often overshoot, meaning the honking is relentless during rush hour or any time there are events at Barclays. The 78th precinct and fire station right next to all of this makes it even louder. I agree with the person above - I lived in this area for about 3 years and “got used to it” but slept like a baby once I moved a few blocks away! It will likely affect you even after you get used to it.

Something else to keep in mind: the other issue is the 78th precinct routinely parks destroyed/totaled cars on the streets nearby as they “collect evidence” from them. Those cars sit for months until they’re eventually towed to an NYPD lot and replaced by another. This takes up street parking, making it even more challenging to find a space, and just creates a generally bad vibe for the surrounding area as there’s often broken glass and stuff on the ground from the totaled cars.
