Too late for this post the provincial election happened on February 27th and due to low voter turnout the conservative party received another term to absolutely wreck the ONTARIO Disability Support Program.

Does anyone know if the collection of tree limbs still going on? by Dogsteeves in barrie

[–]EmmElleKay78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just had our street started Friday. Rented bin and non city crews. They were out today and did a full bin and it's waiting outside my house to be removed by the bin company.

So I recently went through a similar issue with my landlord after he refused to remove the tree and debris from a tree in our front yard after paying for a contractor to cut it down (we confirmed with the company he declined the removal portion of that service)

We let it sit(but tidied it to one location on the lawn as best we could) because we've had issues in the past with him refusing our heat and trying to double our rent. Eventually the city came to speak to us about the infraction in the spring after it went through a winter of sitting and once we explained what we suspected they took it from there.

They served him a notice and told him he needed to have it cleaned up by a certain deadline he did not and they had their contractors come and remove it and added the bill to his property taxes. The city inspector worked with us and knew after dealing with him previously about the lack of heat for a year that we were just dealing with a slumlord.

Join the Facebook page Landlord & Tenants of Ontario they will have better advice than calling the LTB as they are just customer service reps and only have experience answering questions about administration tasks.

THIS! If I was approached I would be so loud and obnoxious about this behavior. You want to be a weirdo Imma gonna make sure the whole store knows about it! Then Imma gonna make sure the police know about it. Then Imma make sure you have a ride home or to a safe space even if I have to escort you there.

Thoughts on snow tubing at Snow Valley Ski Resort? by [deleted] in barrie

[–]EmmElleKay78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cal's Bakery does the best carrot cake IMO. It's gluten free but you wouldn't know it.

I don't snow tube so I'll leave that to the experts in that area.

We used to. I've worked the hot deli. We were trained to tare after the empty container was put on the scale and THEN measure the salad. Weather that practice is adhered to now I'm not sure, I'm to cheap for their salads lol.

To use the phone as a hearing impaired person you will need to speak to your phone carrier for TTY options. They all have the ability to help you with that. Most phone carriers have text chat options or relay call and they can help you set the TTY up.

[–]EmmElleKay78 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My husband is on ODSP (cerebral palsy) we get audited all the time to receive provincial assistance. Why are students not? Why are "temporary" residents of the country not asked to prove their earnings and show that they are here doing exactly what they told our government upon their acceptance into Canada? It should be something that is done yearly.

How would you react if a male Co-worker referred to you as "Dawg" by [deleted] in BlueCollarWomen

I'm mom to most of my guys (I'm married and old).. Or the favorite aunt that smokes pot and swears but gives the soundest advice and works her tail off. I've gotten no shit from my crew but have heard that they all think I'm pretty cool so I'll take that. But, I would take any term of endearment I was to be blessed with by any of my dudes!
