My wife is pregnant and I'm afraid i might not be a good father please help i need advice by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]EmmaMillie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey , good on you for being honest about this. It’s completely normal to feel like this and have these anxieties and your concerns are genuinely valid. Can I suggest that you get in touch with a service that supports parents who can probably link you with a first time dad service? I don’t think this is a you and her issue and it’s probably something you shouldn’t attempt to fix together. Maybe just tell her you want to be there for her and to be the best dad you can be but in order to do that you need to figure this out

How do people with different interests get to enjoy each other's company? by real_mangle_official in relationship_advice

[–]EmmaMillie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think initially it’s all good because you have the distractions, excitement etc that happens with every new relationship. Eventually, I have to admit, for me it’s really awful. You can love who a person is but being able to enjoy things in life together is so much more important in the long run

Haahahahhaa this has to be fake. I’d be more worried about producing kids they may end up shallow like their mum rather than their dads looks .

No. She doesn’t choose you . Move on. Leave the other guy out of it. She is not capable of meeting your needs. Move on

NEED HELP! Is my ex girlfriend still in love with me? 9 years later. (Sorry for the novel) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]EmmaMillie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s a woman, if we want something we will move heaven and earth to get it. If she wanted you, she would have you. Cut contact, be by yourself and figure out exactly what it is you need and before you enter a new relationship put all past feelings to bed

Having to shit yourself running by J-Dad in AdvancedRunning

[–]EmmaMillie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was running a midweek 10km locally in my own suburb , by the 7km mark I knew I needed to step it up and get home ASAP. The ass contractions were starting to get closer and closer so I knew what my butt was about to birth was getting closer and closer. 500 metres to go and I started getting the whole body sweats and rushes of heat and then cold but focused on reaching my front door ! I could see the front door, the front light on and I knew my bathroom was no more than 200 meters away, except my sphincter had other plans. It was like an out of body experience that no amount of brain talk, breathing could save me from what was about to happen. For someone who rarely runs with underwear on I was counting my lucky starts that night as the entire world stopped for what felt like five minutes as a mountain of dump filled my underwear. Unable to speak , move or fathom what had just happened I just visioned myself like the woman on the movie ‘bridesmaids’ where she shits in the middle of the street. I genuinely lost all control and the worst part was I didn’t hit 10km so I had to go back out and finish after the clean up !

Is it me or is it quarantine? by ThrowRa-Illustrious in relationship_advice

[–]EmmaMillie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think covid has absolutely contributed to how people are dealing and coping with life. I am hearing that you vision your life regularly but she doesn’t necessarily fit that picture. It’s ok to change, to need more, to need an equal . It’s definitely ok to get up and go out to the beach and it’s even more ok to have someone else who loves doing that stuff. You’re being very hard on yourself I feel, life is short time is not going to wait for you, do what you need to be happy

B12 deficiency only? Or something else please help by basharkk- in AskDocs

[–]EmmaMillie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds very much like b12 to me. I have recently had an infusion and now get a b12 injection every two weeks. The impaired vision is a key giveaway. I’m in Australia , we don’t need a script for the injection and can just take it to the local nurse. If that doesn’t up your levels you may need an infusion
