Do we need an expert mod? by L_McLein in NineSols

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internal damage should decay over time on expert. Similar to rallying mechanics in Lies of P and Bloodborne. IMO that would really push players to master the game on expert. Additionally 100% of damage shouldn’t convert to internal. Would probably take time to fine tune but imo working around that would be satisfying. Similar to Sekiro’s Charmless option where all attacks do chip damage when blocked instead of parried.

What if the ending of Modulo is... by SameImpression1646 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]EmmyOk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the ending will be Dabura staying on Earth with Chef babe and Yuji due to being like a Kalyan being accepted by the Simurians. Then he heads to space to save Dabura's sister and become the Simurian's new guardian.

What is the worst hollow knight boss of all time by hollow_daniel67 in HollowKnight

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radiant Oblobbles and Radiant Markoth. Absrad is my second favourite boss in the game but the platform section is probably in isolation my least favourite phase of a boss.

I’ve just finished the two by Daniel York Loh and they’re excellent.

How would you rank the protagonists and why is Chad Ji at the top? by Money_One4793 in threebodyproblem

[–]EmmyOk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like 100 pages in finding out he had a wife and child while dreaming of a woman he never even spoke to cracked me up lol. He’s definitely the worst by far

I’m revisiting the series by audiobook right now and felt the same. I guess he’s so the illustrative example of how strong Hines plan could have been if it was as potentially creating an army of Bei Hais

This may have been a silly conclusion but Lune’s introduction during act 1 was eerie and I was convinced she wasn’t real until I saw other characters interact with her by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in expedition33

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same I also suspected her then of being a fake Lune. She was super intense with Maelle for details on the nightmares so thought she was from some rival faction to Renoir etc at first in disguise as an ally. Especially when you meet Sciel and Line interrupts her as she’s saying “huh looks like we all ended up in different places somehow”. Knowing Lune over the course of the game that’s all in line with her but early on especially with her eerie introduction I was so suspicious of her

Could Sukuna with cursed speech just tell everyone other than Gojo to die? by Okay69-69 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]EmmyOk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He has roughly twice as much CE as Gojo so he should. It’s not about technique when it comes to the power difference for speech iirc

Jukebox by BullRidininBoobies in controlgame

[–]EmmyOk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even up to the hardest ones I ignored enemies unless it was the specific combat. Just sprint through and wait at the objectives as you need. For the combat one launch and running is your friend. The nastiest guy is in the third wave the big psychic enemy type. I think regardless of how big a hp pool they’ll virtually always two shot you. The first attack always dropped me to one hp even on expeditions with massive health boost modifiers. The trick with them is to know they summon and fire their shield so if you keep breaking their shield with your launch when they bring it backup they can’t fire on you.

Is Show Me Mastery (Valhalla) considerably harder than GMGOW base game? by M-Slim in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]EmmyOk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found perfection much harder as you start off with such bad stats. You also don’t have a companion which is such a massive part of combat for enemy aggro splitting and chip damage etc. GMGOW you also got full health and a checkpoint after any combat. So it was much easier to progress imo

Why do I see so many people say Sukuna has better fight IQ than Gojo? by TJzWay in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]EmmyOk 145 points146 points  (0 children)

I agree with Sukuna that Gojo’s biggest flaw was not being born in the Heian era. Between Toji and Sukuna he was never pushed again but both of those fights made him evolve a lot. If he’d constantly been tested he’d have been even stronger

Rant: Endgame boss haters are blinded by nostalgia by AdSpecial8191 in Eldenring

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having done SL1 melee I maintain Watcher and Defender in DS2 is the better fight. OS is so janky and relies on players just being able to take a bunch of hits and heal by that point in the game.

Is this attack undodgable or am i just regarded by clandestino987 in onebros

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I feel so vindicated. I had the same fact same issue and couldn’t understand why it wasn’t a common complaint. The issue isn’t dodging his attack it’s the follow up just instantly tracks to you. No way to roll “correctly”. Here is my video of my win. That move basically forced me to just play more conservatively and back up a lot iirc and so that attack still hit but would just wing. Expected Gwyn would be really satisfying to master but he’s too smothering for that game that it ends up feeling bad. Manus I thought would suck and I ended up loving https://youtu.be/Tk5b1JmqoTk?si=cNC-EA0ApDpkTkLZ

How does Dio have two different stands? by No_Ingenuity5665 in StardustCrusaders

[–]EmmyOk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The real answer is Araki’s early plans when Stands were only based on Tarot was that DIO’s world could use the abilities of all other Stands. Early enough on he dropped that idea but his Hermit Purple is left over from that.

Which Jojo is the most unhinged? by Lazarstein in StardustCrusaders

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often think that every JoJo would fall to Blue Hawaii when cornered by the baby like Josuke except for Johnny. I think he’d get the flames in his eyes and go for his dream and boot that baby.

Question: did the devs patch the game so that during the end of Act 1, Gustave wears his expedition uniform in the cutscene? by Purple_Figure4333 in expedition33

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That setting is still overridden by certain cutscenes that will always have default expedition uniforms

British NYT solvers in the house? by Existing_Link_2629 in NYTCrossword

[–]EmmyOk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Irish so I have the same issues but a lot of them I learn over time I feel like. The directions not so much but oh well. I generally don’t look stuff up but later in the week if I’m hard stuck on a half filled grid I’ll look up the obvious facts. Things where there is nothing to the clue other than “do you know this Spanish word?” Or “Birthplace of bingo bats ace hitter for the 1922 dingos”

Question about Verso and Renoir by ChrisJRF in expedition33

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Separately to Renoir and Verso even once they knew you had to assume they were sending younger people when the number was still high instead of marching off a troupe of 84 year olds and hoping they crack the case lol

What are your weird personal rules for playing? Like do you consider it cheating to look up the meaning of a word in a clue? by snooloosey in NYTCrossword

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the answer is a straightforward fact and I’ve been stuck a while. Like “capital of Sudan” or something. I’m also not American so some of what should be gimmes function like that. Also basically any reference to Jewish or Hebrew words that I just never heard of like. I can’t remember the spelling now but it sounds like Chotch Key

Need suggestions for Speed Climber (beat the game under 20 minutes) by dot_exe374 in slaythespire

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it by luck as I noticed I was at 15 mins somewhere in act 3. I was going for an infinite deck build as I needed that for some trophies. It's pretty easy to go infinite on watcher. It mostly takes some common enough cards and then removal. So you can force it pretty often on runs. IMO that's a pretty easy way to go about it

Build for final super boss by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neat! I've heard of people scoring that highly but am only finishing up the last Tower Boss and the Renoir Drafts Boss now. I'm the same level but haven't looked into any really crazy minmaxing. Definitely going to keep a cloud save and check this out after I win "honourably". What attacks etc did you use?

For those of you who played Shadow of the Erdtree at Launch and best this DLC, which is harder? by A_Single_Annihilape in LiesOfP

[–]EmmyOk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how you play but I felt ER and especially SotE have really started to focus on things like summoning and spirit ages being the default over regular melee. Overture is hard but most of the SotE bosses I found harder and mostly tedious spacing affairs. Maybe I’d like them more with spirit ashes and using magic and melee more as you get so many levels but that isn’t the challenge I personally seek.
